I do see somewhat of where you're coming from. But you have to see it from a Christians point of view as well. We don't recognize those cells as much as we do the soul that that child had recieved at conception. The soul is kind of a record showing everything we've done in our lives and it is one of the deciding factors of whether we go to Heaven or not. So if someone freely takes the life of an unborn child, they're tampering with that person's "records." They're basically saying you're not worthy of having the chance to live or prove yourself. That's what we have a problem with.

I disagree. There is a large gray area but I generally feel that abortion is too often used as a method of late birth control. I favor abstinence or some other method of birth control to be used. However, I would not saddle a rape victim or the victim of incest with a flesh and blood reminder of the horror the went through. I think it has more to do with intent for me. Did they simply forget to be careful or simply give it no thought? If so then I think it is wrong. I do not know about the whole bundle of cells but I do know they have a heartbeat early on and that they have dreams and sensations early and I think that is a serious decision that should be thought about very carefully. Perhaps there is another way to handle it. I just know we need to quit being selfish and using abortion as an easy out.

The thing is for me is that it is a human GROWING. A real human not a genetically engineered experiment which our children actually might end up being. Sperm and eggs SEPARATELY are shot out everywhere and die. But they don't mean an abortion or killing of a LIFE. Us women have our eggs pop out of our bodies every month or depending on what you are on or personal body changes. Men make more sperm everyday than women have eggs all together. When they unite and they are now call a fertilized egg. Which is a human growing inside of the uterus of a woman then, well then its no longer a fly of the wind. I understand where you are going to and how you want the fetus to not feel pain but it still was and always be your unborn child. It just sounds wrong to kill something that goes through what children you want is killed.

No, I don't agree that a fetus is just a bunch of cells.
The reason that I believe this is if they were just a bunch of cells, why would a woman feel threatened by them. Cells are good, aren't they?
Abortion is trying to stop a baby from growing, maturing, and being born.
The only reason you believe there is no suffering for a fetus is because somone told you to believe that so that you would feel alright about abortion.
If you really want to know the truth, watch this video. It is gruesome, but it is the truth.

Sperm are not new human beings. Sperm are the cells of the father. Once a sperm penetrates an ovum, the resulting cell is not the father's cell or the mother's cell. It is the first cell of their son or daughter's body, and they no longer have any rights concerning it. Rather they have the moral obligation to nourish and protect their son or daughter from that moment until the child reaches adulthood. What could possibly give you the right to determine at what age another human being can or cannot be killed?

It might be the fact that we really dont know WHEN the baby feels pain. I know fairly recently Doctors claimed there was no heartbeat until about 60 days enutero, but now equiptment is more sensative and can detect a steady heartbeat by the 6th week. Abortions are legal in most states well after that. In another couple years they might detect the heartbeat in 4 weeks, then 2 weeks....
Most prolifers, including myself, are more understanding in abortions if rape, incest or its a serious health risk for the mother. (we would still rather the baby not be killed, but it's more understandable than doing it just because you dont want to be pregnant) But the fact is, in 2004, ONLY 50 abortions performed in the USA were due to rape, incest, or the mothers life threatening condition but over 50,000 abortions were performed. Thats just sad.

What I would like to know is why women can't turn to adoption instead of killing the baby? Why is that? I realize its inconvenient to be pregnant, but its only temporary, the mother could go on with her life, without ever having to worry about the fact that she killed her own child. There are literally thousands of people out there waiting to adopt, but women are more prone to use the easy way out. Yeah, because of their own negligence, and yes, its usually simply negligence that gets them pregnant, some women have abortion after abortion because they can't be bothered using birth control. I'm not talking about rape and life threatening illness, but the most common reason for abortion is plain ole stupidity. Maybe if they went ahead and had the baby and gave it up for adoption, they'd learn some responsiblity and figure out birth control is a good thing.
We've become a society that enables our people to act irresponsibly with no consequences.

I understand how you rationalize this, however, I do not agree because from the stand point that God creates all life and that if it wasn't suppose to be, it wouldn't have happened, as God makes no mistakes, that life in the process of creation had/has a purpose and we should not interfere in God's divine plan. He is the maker of life.
I have always been against abortion, but I use to think that with situations of incest it would be okay. Though it took me a long time to change my view on that, by hypothetically thinking what if it happened to me, it would feel horrible to carry under that situation. I finally concluded, no matter how horrible it would seem, it is still a creation of God's and I would not be in charge, God is, he will make all bad turn for the good in his divine plan.

By the time a woman knows she is pregnant- it has become a fetus- most women do not know they are pregnant until 4 weeks along- and that is EARLY to find out. It is wrong to have an abortion- it is murder- that is a baby growing and it grows rapidly in those first 4 weeks. Check out a pregnancy book- the week by week one.

A spirit chooses a body to inhabit before conception, fetus or not, the spirit is there (ask a pregnant woman if she can feel a presence, 90% will answer yes), to abort is the refusal to the spirit to enter the game of life.
