Personality. The most beautiful person in the world could seem hideous to me if s/he didn't have a very nice personality and was obnoxious, cruel, and/or selfish. People who normally don't catch my eye at first have captured my heart because of their nature and inherent kindness, and as time wore on, I thought they were the most lovely human beings I had ever met.
However, if some parts of the looks indicate to me a lack of hygiene or something along those lines, I normally won't date that person. Cleanliness is very important to me. If I see a change in that behavior... no problem. If not, well... I keep looking :) I guess that's my exception to the rule.

Alot of people go for looks, but I think they are both important. I think that if you really like their personality that can make you like their looks even if no one else does. A good personality can make a person cute.

A person's looks have lots of potential for change, whether it be just the natural change as you age or due to an accident or illness. A person's personality is a truer representation of who a person is. I think a person's personality is a better thing to consider than their looks.

Looks are always important in the beggining but in time the personality is a must. How can you be with someone you don't understand or like?

Personally, I think the personality. Sure the looks are nice but when you get to know the person you don't really 'look' at them anymore, if you know what I mean. You see who they are emotionally and mentally, everytime you see them. Looks will get you only a little ways.

I guess it all depends on the type of person you are. Like, for me, the personality is the most that counts, but if a girl looks like fricken barney Im obviously not going to date her. It all depends on the degree. For example I wouldnt go out with the hottest girl ever if she was a total *****. Okay, carry on!
