I'm a Lutheran & a very good friend of mine is Jewish. Although we really don't discuss our religions other than Happy Hanakua & Merry Christmas we are both good people & both believe in God. Now I know that I believe Jesus is our saviour & she doesn't, but does it matter if we're both good people, don't you think for those who believe that we'll both go to Heaven??

To the last answer I'm sorry but I truly believe that my Jewish friend will also go to Heaven, whatever her beliefs are because she's a good woman

Of course.. Jews are still promised Heaven according to Romans 11 so no, the differences between Jews and Christians dont matter. In a living together peacefully sense, our differences dont matter so long as the differences dont make one think they are above the other in any way.

I think God will decide and none of us can make that decision for him. Although I think it is great that you are friends outside your faith. More people should be so tolerant of anothers faith. I know when I choose friends religion is certainly not the first thing I look to as a determining factor. I look at the character first and go from there. I have friends of every religion and have a couple I have no idea of what they believe in as it has never come up.

It is best not to discuss each other's differences if this may bring out some pain. However, if you believe in the Holy Spirit and in the Divine intervention of the Lord, then God from within our hearts would ultimately work to bring out the best of our spirituality. After all we are all servants of the Lord and He takes care of all of us. Try to not look at him as Jewish but as a true servant of God just like you. Ultimately the destination would be the same.

LOL in a friendly way. Do you both live by the teachings of the Christ? Every day? All day and night, too? Are you considered "the anointed class that goes to heaven?" to become part of the 144,000 priests and judges of the earth? Part of the Kingdom of God? Heaven is THE MOST HOLY realm. Are you Holy, imitating God like He and Jesus require? Lots of hard questions to think about.

If you believe Jesus is your Savior, then why do you think good people will go to heaven? Do you know the gospel of Jesus Christ? It is ONLY through Him one is saved and given the kingdom of God- John 3:3 says "Unless you are born again you cannot see the kingdom of God"
-That is to be born of the Spirit of God- believing in Jesus Christ and repenting of sin- putting your faith in Him. Once you are saved you are sealed with the Holy Spirit, justified and sanctified.
So that is why I wonder if you truly know the gospel--because nothing you do can get you into heaven- "No one is good, not one, no one seeks after God" -Romans 3:10

"It is by grace you have been saved, through faith, and its not of yourselves, it is the gift of God" -Ephesians 2:8

Jesus says" I am the ONLY way, truth and life, and no one can come to the Father but through Me" John 14:6

Do you believe this?

Not really.
Most of my friends are not Muslims and we have no problems; I respect their faith and they respect mine.
The basis of any true religion is a consciousness of God as our maker and love for each other; all other else is minor.
Have a wonderful weekend folks!

you are right it does not matter as long as in your heart you believe that Jesus died for your sins but now a Jewish person will go to heaven because they are God's chosen people...

That's the beauty of being an "individual"... we are all different in more ways than one, yet we will be loved and treated equally as true Children of God provided we follow The Law.

Peace be with you.
