I mean, if they entered illegally wouldn't the only way they could live here be to use fake, forged, stolen or 'rented' Identification? By using them, isn't that fraud, forgery and a felony? So, how can they be 'good law abiding citizens', how can they NOT be criminals?

xcelix - There is a huge difference between littering or running a red light and entering a country illegally using a fake ID. Using a fake ID is FRAUD, a FELONY. Entering the USA illegally is a Federal offense. AND, because Americans commit crimes is in no way a justification for entering our country illegally. People commit crimes in all countries. Illegal immigrants are continually breaking the laws on immigration. When WE are caught committing crimes, we pay the fine or suffer the punishment. Illegal immigrants should, also, they should be deported.

It IS a crime, and as proved in some of the answers here leads to more serious crimes by not only the one who illegally entered America but also by those who are just as greedy that are Americans or legal immigrants

My brother broke up with his girlfriend after he found out she was here illegally, and that she was using someone elses social security number in order to work. It made him distrust her completely, he felt like if she could steal someone elses social security number, what would stop her from using him in a bad way.

It all comes down to this, would you ruin someone elses life in order to make yourself happy? And if this is the case, how can you not consider yourself to be of low character if you would consider stealing someones identity in order to stay in another country because you wanted to make a few extra bucks. Not every single illegal who crosses the border is some poor person who is ready to starve unless they get into the U.S. alot of them are just people who want better pay, and could easily survive in Mexico, but wanted more so they came here. Stealing someone elses identity is disgusting and is a crime by law, and a disgusting moral crime. There is no getting past that!! You cant be an honest person and steal like that!

Remember, it did not used to be a criminal act to cross the border for hundreds of years, they made it a felony about a year ago or so on, so illegals that come here to work just see every obstacle as an other challenge and not as a law brake.

You can work for cash with no ID. You can buy a car for cash with no ID and you can rent accommodation for cash with no ID.
What you cannot do is to pay taxes, social security, medicare etc without ID. You cannot get a SS number, drivers license or insurance of any kind (unless you get a forged SS card and or drivers license).
If an illegal is working and supporting a family, there is a very good argument for making him legal and getting him to pay taxes. Locking him up and caring for his family while he awaits a hearing is not practical. You cannot just throw him and his family out unless you really do not like the idea of freedom.

Coming here isn't a crime. It is those other things that you mentioned that makes it a crime.
They are criminals no matter how they justify it or for what ever reason. They still committed a crime!

why would someone who wanted to come to this country so badly the were willing to enter without proper documentation
without the knowledge of our INS want to do anything else to risk drawing unwanted attention to his being here?

The only way its if they were in prison then they would not be committing other illegal acts.

Think about the fact that if you throw all the illegals out of the country, then pretty much all of their kids born here become orphans that the government needs to take care of.

Yes breaking laws does seem to be all they know, lie after lie after lie. Oh they make themselves feel better by saying, its our human right to live anyplace we want. Then they say that in Mexico, we put God first, and no not one place in Gods word does it say it is ok to break laws, shame shame.

Your incorrect. Many slump landlords will rent to anyone with cash without collecting any vital information. Additionally, some have family who are here legally that they live with.

I think you should also remember that many illegal immigrants do jobs that no Americans will do.
