Dogs have a great sense of smelling and hearing. They are known to be man's best friend due to their exceptional loyalty. I also believe that dogs are the only (or one of the few) animals that cannot see colour. I hope this helped answer your question!

Dogs have a truly unique relationship to humans. They are intelligent, and they are pack animals who will consider their master as Leader of the Pack. They are also strong and loyal and courageous and amusing and have fur that is lovely to pet, and they are really our best friends in the animal world. Except maybe horses in some environments.
The more contact animals have with humans, the more individual they become. We give them individual names, and they learn to recognize them. Now, he is no longer just Dog (generic male), but Prince or Rover or whatever. He has an identity, and that's what no other animal has unless a human gives it to him.
