These are deductions on my pay stub ,but I dont know what for. What does SIT stand for?

Ask the human resources department at work. Different companies use different abbreviations on pay stubs. Even if someone has an answer that is correct for their company, it may not mean the same at yours.

work SIT is State Income Tax....simply your state taking taxes out of the check. And res. SIT is when you work out of the state in which you live and you are being taxed by your state
