We have a 3.5 month old pug puppy, and ever since we got him at 7.5 weeks old, he follows me EVERYWHERE! I will get up to go to the restroom,he has to be in there with me or else he'll scream and whine at the door and piss off the neighbors (we live in an apartment). He follows me to the bedroom, kitchen, living room, computer room...he will either throw a fit if I don't pay attention to him, or he'll just lay at me feet and play by himself. When I lie down to take a nap, I wake up to him snoring and drooling in my face,lol...Why is he so attached to me?

I have a 5 month old pug baby that does the exact same thing. Pugs are very social dogs, they love their mommies and they thrive off attention. My furbaby is always at my side whether im cooking or sleeping or going poopoo LOL....they are so loveable and only want attention..the things i do to help is as follows:
I take bella to the potty with me, over time she got bored with being invited that she stopped following me there.
When im cooking or doing something i really need to be left alone doing without distraction, I give her one of 2 things...i give her a big carrot stick, she loves them its great for her teeth and eye sight ( since we know pugs get glaucoma) Also I give her a a KONG toy filled with peanut butter and carrots..it takes her soo long to get the treats out which usually gives me plenty of time to get done what i need to
Good luck with your furbaby he just needs lots of attention from his mommy since he is still a baby...Just like a toddler will follow you to the potty too

properly the easy answer is... she loves you; and the love of a sturdy canines is something i'm hoping easily everyone thoughts a minimum of once of their existence. My cocker is sitting right here with me now, and prefer your domestic dog, follows me everywhere. Your domestic dog has made a decision in her little canines thoughts, and that selection is YOU. you're growing her surrogate mom, and her carry close, and because canines are %. animals, the position the %. chief (you) is going, they retain on with. And with a domestic dog, it truly is even better genuine. imagine a tender baby, clinging to her mom’s gown or leg at the same time as there are new human beings round. the youngster is searching for safe practices, perchance no longer in a wide awake idea, yet genuine though. And at the same time as canines do no longer imagine like us; they do have some genetic information puzzling coded into their brains; survival, starvation, %.. if you're providing foodstuff, then each and every thing said above is cemented even better so. As your domestic dog matures, her following might want to ease, despite the indisputable fact that it received’t end; so better ideal get used to it. As for the different individuals of your spouse and children, on your doggies thoughts they're individuals of he similar %., yet you're the pinnacle banana.

Your Little Man knows that you are the authority in his world. You protect him, feed him, walk him etc. In his eyes he needs to be with you to know what he should be doing, especially because he is so young. As he gets older you would have taught him his boundaries and he won't follow you as much and you will miss it. The laying on you face thing is a sign of respect in dog world, he is wanting you to know that he loves you. I say don't complain that he wants to be with you and enjoy it while it lasts, cause when he grows up and has his own independence, you'll want that little dependable pup back again.

My Piper does the same thing. She's a total velcro baby. She follows me all around the house ,sleeps with me at night , waits by the bath room until I come out,if she can't see she cries , she's constantly by my side. You want to know something ,I would not have it any other way.The unconditional love of a dog ,there's nothing more precious.

He has bonded to you, you are his new mommy. Seriously puppies follow their moms and litter mates around and now the pup is follow you as pack leader around. As he gets older this will lessen but right now you are giving him the security he use to get from his mom. This is good that he trusts you so much. My 4 month old Bichonpoo does the same thing.

My baby husky did this to me all the time. Your little one looks to you as it's mother. It's only bonding with you :) Later when he's an old dog (or just an older dog) it will be nice to have your happy little friend there once he calms down. It'll take awhile, but this is how pups bond with a family :)

Dogs are related to wolves which live in packs. Your puppy is in love with you and sees you as the alpha animal in his "pack."
