`AMEN BROTHER! If God be for us, who can be against us?
Romans 8:31
Matthew 12: 30 ---He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.
Matthew 10:14 Mark 6:11 Luke 9:5
Matthew 10:14---And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.
Mark 6:11----------And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart thence, shake off the dust under your feet for a testimony against them...
Luke 9:5------------And whosoever will not receive you, when ye go out of that city, shake off the very dust from your feet for a testimony against them.
Acts 13:51 ( speaking of Paul and Barnabas) But they shook off the dust of their feet against them (Meaning the Jews who were persecuting them)
We cannot force people to believe God's word, but we do have a duty to teach them then it is THEIR CHOICE whether to accept or reject.

If someone wants your opinion they'll ask for it. I dont believe in God and I am a good person and no one can tell me that they have reached a higher level of "peace" than me because they are not me. I do not appreciate people trying to "convert" me, although I enjoy religious conversations when the other person is open and willing to listen to my opinions as well. My beliefs are no more in need of change than yours. You are what gives religious people the reputation of "bible thumpers" this is unfair to the good religious people who dont wish to impose their ideals on other people. If someone already has a religion or is content with no religion it is not your place to interfere. Don't be ignorant.

I agree...but the fact of the matter is, I DO want to convert people. I know, it sounds horrible, but it's really not. I just want them to know the peace I know, that's all.
But I ALWAYS respect a person's opinion, whatever they decide.

That is really all you can do. Even Jesus knew better than to think all would follow him. That is why he told his disciples to shake the dust from their sandals if they came to a place where no one wanted to hear the word of God.

We're suppose to spread the word, not force it. You can't make anyone believe anything they don't want to anyway, but its nice you figured it out.

I always spend more time sharing the reasons for my beliefs than trying to convert.

be the examples of love we're called to be ... go out and tell everyone the GOOD NEWS of JESUS and his SAVING LOVE! ... but never threaten or pressure them into Christianity ... that's just not how it's to be done ... it's just not cool
don't shove the bible down their throats ... do your part and then step aside and allow God to place his Word gently but firmly in their hearts!!
