Now, I'm answering your question, but don't get a dog just for girls. To send a dog to the pound because later on you realise it's too much for you, or because you are tired of it is a bullshi* thing, and I hope you wouldn't do that. There's my disclaimer, lol.

Whenever I see a guy with a little toy dog, I think he's either gay or walking his gf's dog. Don't get a dog shorter than a large housecat, ever. Also, you probably don't want one that you have to take to the groomers to get it's fur trimmed or anything else to make it look right. Some people said cocker spaniels, and everyone I know who has them (all women btw) took them to the groomers at least once a month.

In no particular order, here are the dogs I would recomend:

English Bulldogs are cool for guys. They aren't huge, and they don't need a lot of exercise, so they are easy to take care of, but can be stubborn. They are cute dogs in a real manly sort of way, and I would expect a guy walking one to probably have a good sense of humor. Plus, short hair so you don't have a lot of trouble grooming him. Just keep him clean, and put a sweater or something on him in winter if he is going to be outside. Winston (after Winston Chruchill) would be an awesome name for a bulldog.

Siberean Huskies are really cool, IF you can take care of them. They are always so friendly, they are "pretty" enough a girl is gonna melt over it, and are just really fun dogs to have. And even though they have long fur, they aren't hard to groom. Just keep them clean (they don't realy ever smell, unless you have skunks around), and you don't have to worry about trimming their fur ever. They do shed, twice a year, and it is a lot. Also, unless you train him, and unless you exercise him, you'll have trouble. They have to have exercise every single day, and you have to make sure they come when you call. (Oh, and whatever your training method is, if it involes yelling or rolled up newspapers, it won't work on a husky. Your dog will just laugh at you.) If you like to jog, this dog will be perfect. You'll look really atheletic with him in the park. I would definitely go up to a guy with a husky.

A German Shepard is cool too. Long fur, and shedding, but, like huskies, the only thing you realy ever have to do is give them a bath to keep them looking nice. Real manly, they are super smart and can learn a ton of tricks to keep the girls hanging out once they come over to talk. They are loyal, smart, protective, and good looking. All the things girls like to see in their guys!

Last one, a beagle. So cute, and so funny, this dog is gonna look and act like a puppy until it is old. Of course, it will also bark non-stop at night and the whole day you are gone if you don't remember to to take him for a run at least once a day. And hey, they can find anything. My mom's old boyfriend had taught his to find stuff he hid, and it would find the remote and his keys for him when he lost them. Also, they are totally wash and wear dogs, lol.

If this is your ONLY reason for getting a dog, please don't. Adopting an animal is a commitment, and you should be prepared for this dog to be a member of your family for at least 10 or 15 years. If you JUST want the use of a dog to attract women, go to your local animal shelter and volunteer to be a dog-walker. That way you can turn a self-serving action into a philanthropic one.

That being said, if you do want to adopt a dog for yourself, and would prefer one that is well-liked by most women, I'd suggest a medium-sized dog like a cocker spaniel. A small dog is very appealing to women, but may make a male owner seem. A large dog may seem aggressive or threatening to some women; a labrador or beautiful golden retriever is much more appealing than a scary-looking pit bull or german shephard.
Ultimately, any dog you really love and enjoy will be a happy dog, and that is what will attract women the most!

I like big dogs. I don't like to see a guy with some small wimpy little thing that yips and jumps everywhere.
A strong dog like a german shepherd would get me interested. Or a siberian husky is pretty cool. Golden retriever, a black lab is a classic...or a really rare big dog like a newfoundland or a bernese mountain dog. I would be over there in a flash. :)
