The basic problem is that trinitarianism is a nonbiblical doctrine that contradicts a number of biblical teachings and many specific verses of Scripture. Moreover, the doctrine contains a number of internal contradictions. Of course, the most obvious internal contradiction is how there can be three persons of God in any meaningful sense and yet there be only one God.

This list is not exhaustive but it does give an idea of how much the doctrine deviates from the Bible.

Did Jesus Christ have two fathers? The Father is the Father of the Son (I John 1:3), yet the child born of Mary was conceived by the Holy Ghost (Matthew 1:18, 20; Luke 1:35). Which one is the true father? Some trinitarians say that the Holy Ghost was merely the Father's agent in conception - a process they compare to artificial insemination! [109]

It is a sound Christian doctrine and does not go against what the Bible teaches. You're right in that the word "trinity" is never used in the Bible, yet that does not contradict the mainstream Christian doctrine of one God in three persons: God the Father(Creator), God the Son(Redeemer), and God the Holy Spirit(Sanctifier).

You can make all the "rational" arguments you want, but some things you just have to accept on faith and not analyze them so much.

God has never been a mystery to those who truly desire to have a close relationship with him. He wants us to love and worship him alone, but if he is not one God, but three Gods in one God, to whom would our worship be given? The pagan Babylonians worshipped triads of Gods and that is where the trinity doctrine had it's beginning. Nimrod, the ruler of that ancient city, is responsible for many of Christendoms false teachings and doctrines.
When Mary was pregnant with Jesus, his Father was in heaven, ruling the universe. When Jesus was entombed for three days, again, his Father was ruling the universe. Jesus is now in heaven, seated at God's right hand where he is ruling as King. When the time comes, the Kingdom rule will be given back to his Father, to whom it rightly belongs.
" After that the end will come, when he will turn the Kingdom over to God the Father, having destroyed every ruler and authority and power. For Christ must reign until he humbles all his enemies beneath his feet. And the last enemy to be destroyed is death."
After death is done away with, Jesus will no longer rule as King.
1 Corinthians 15:24-26
Jesus will then become the "Prince of Peace" and he will subject himself to his Fathers rule.

A father, a son and a Holy Spirit is indeed mentioned in the Bible; but the true concept of the Trinity cannot be explained,,,it's a thing of faith; you either accept it or neglect it.
To each his own.

Here's what St. Joseph said on the Trinity. He held up a blanket and folded it into three parts. Then he said to his superior, "One blanket, three folds."

Second Christ had one father, God.

And third, I wish the next time you ask a question, you won't insult my faith!

Your god is pretty small and limited.

Your grandmother was a daughter, aunt, mother, sister, maybe even mayor!

And you say God can't be three?
He is much bigger than your small understanding!
