Frosting as in adding grey or frosting as in adding blonde highlights? I think Highlights are cool, but the fashion is to have all one color right now. Go for a nice chestnut brown, I love that color and it's warm. Just go like one or two shades darker. Also look at other actresses that have gone darker and choose one that looks good and ask the colorist to replicate it. 20 something is a good age to do anything with your hair, and you can always dye it back so highlights or frosting or chunking is all up to what you like! Have fun!

You can try L'oreal's website or try your local hair stylist for suggestions. If you'd like to color your hair, you should definitely stick with something that meshes well with you're skin tone. Here's the deal with frosting hair or doing that "bleached cow lick" like the guitarist from AFI... it doesn't look good!! If you are thinking of frosting your hair there is a way to do it where it not extreme but adds depth instead. If you are barely in your twenties you may be curious as to doing what all of these celebrities are doing. Stick with something simple. Most local stylists do not have the talent or experience to mimic the result. Again, I'm no expert so refer to your local hair stylist.

For the first time, choose a lighter shade, maybe a light brown or medium brown. It's easier to go darker next time if you're not satisfied, than to go lighter. You could also try lowlights first, just to see if you're comfortable being darker. Than maybe a medium brown with highlights.
If you go to this site:

and a little down on the site, is a link to "easy expert". It's easy to sign up, and you can try on everything from haircolours to makeup :)

I would say stay close(ish) to your natural colour. If you want to go darker use a darker shade of blonde and add highlights or a light brown with highlights. It's fun, good luck!

Okay, I think you should do what would make you happy. To get ideas, go through magazines (regular or hair magazines) and find hairstyles you would like. Take those to the salon with you. You could also show the pictures to friends and ask them what they think would look good for you. Try these websites:
http://www.visual-makeover.com/color.htm
http://www.geocities.com/HotSprings/4266/color.html
Good luck!!!!!!!!

I am a hairdresser, and would simply say that small steps are always the safest. Start with a minor shade adjustment and light crown highlights....this way it won't be total shock to you.

Go to a salon that you trust...A light warm brown would be nice with foiled highlights...Dont do it yourself.
