I've studied into various religions, but not necessarily their religious books.
Religions I've studied: Zoroastrianism, Buddhism, Satanism, Druidism, Wicca, Christianity, Mormonism, Jehovah's Witness, Judaism, Hinduism, Celtic Mythology, Egyptian Mythology, Roman Mythology, and Islam.
Of those, I've read several books on Wicca, the Book of Mormon, various books on Buddhism and Hinduism, LaVey's Satanic bible and parts of the Koran.
I also own several mythology books.

I'm a Christian.

I read lots of Hindu writings in college. Bhagavad Gita, Srimad Bhagavatam, stuff by Mahatma Gandhi, Autobiography of a Yogi.

When I was helping my aunt get out of Mormonism, I read a LOT about their history.

I read a little about Buddhism and Thomas Merton's writings in seminary.

I studied the Old Testament at a Jewish Theological seminary with a Jewish professor. That was some of the best study I ever did.

Virtually nothing about Islam....I judge them by their "fruits".

I have studied many religions.
The most helpful books were, Leo Rostens"Religions In America",
The Bible(about seven translations used.)
and the Strong's Exhaustive Concordance.

Started to read the book of Mormon, to wordy and plagiarist.
The Koran? claims to be the followup to the Bible, then contradicts the bible and itself throughout.
