Depends what colour your eyebrows are. If too dark it will look daft.

Try just putting highlights in your hair to begin with and add more and more untill most of the hair is blond, that way you can see how much blond will suit your face and you can stop if you feel that more would look silly. If you have dark features and dark eyebrows i wouldnt recommend going fully blond, it will look to fake and can look weird on some people.
Also, go to a hairdressers to get it done, you dont want to turn your hair green now do you! lol.
Good luck hon, hope i helped.

It all depends on the tone of your skin and the color of your eyebrows. I have dark brown hair too, but I have a dark skin tone and really dark eyebrows, almost black. So, blonde would, of course, not suit me at all. I can't see myself blonde at all. My advice is, ask your friends if they can picture you blonde. Since you want some change, then put in some blonde highlights first. But, don't be sad if blonde doesn't work for you. I love my brunette hair, and I would never change it. After all, "brunettes are better"! (joking) lol. :-D

I've had every colour and shade there is, and I'm a natural blonde. I would recommend lots of highlights all over

(maybe like this, or not as much: http://images.google.no/imgres?imgurl=http://www.mischa-barton-pictures.com/mischa-barton-may21-7.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.mischa-barton-pictures.com/&h=338&w=450&sz=29&hl=no&start=2&tbnid=CWeGCt0GGwVKbM:&tbnh=95&tbnw=127&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dmischa%2Bbarton%26svnum%3D10%26hl%3Dno%26lr%3D%26rls%3DGGLR,GGLR:2006-37,GGLR:en%26sa%3DN, )instead off dyeing it all blond. First, you'll see if you like the lighter shades and if it suits you or not. Second, it will look more natural. Third, getting dark hair look natural blonde is quite difficult and is a long process.

They have something called easyexpert where you can upload you own photos and try on colours. It helped me decide what shade of blonde that suited me.

And since you're natural color is dark, it is easier to get back to basics if you don't like the new blonde you. So go for it :)

Since you have dark brown hair, i wouldnt suggest going blonde all over because if you dont like it, youll have to redye it again (major damage to your hair). I would suggest kind of taking it slow... probably go with blonde bold streaks all over and see if the blonde looks good with your skin tone (see if it suits you). If you think it looks good so far, then go complete blonde. If you dont think it looks good, you can go back as a brunette and you dont have any major damage to your hair.

Highlights. Its gradually and gives you and everyone around a chance to get use to the colour change. Get lighter gradually if you like it. Be careful you you go blonde instantly as many people forget that their eyebrows and top lip give the game away. Also when in private with someone they may query your underarms and pubic hair. good luck

why not go for subtle highlights. they will brighten your hair up, without too much of a drastic change. If you feel the colour suits you, you can always go even lighter. I once read, the hair colour that suits you the best is the colour hair you had as a toddler. Our hair usually darkens as we get older.

believe me it will probably look great. Ive had my hair done loads of colours and they always look natural---well appart from the pillar box red one. These days you can experiment as much as you want and if you dont like it then just have it dyed back, or a different colour. Go for it.
P.S If your really worried though, have some little bits high-lighted first to see if you like it.

Try having highlighs - they aren't such a drastic colour change, are less maintenance in terms of regrowth, and as it's not a block colour won't look so stark. You can just have a few at first to see if it suits you then if you like them, go for more......

Try colouring during holidays where not may people are going to see you (that's if it really doesn't look good) try semi-permanent not permanent straight away and get pictures of celebs with blonde hair, cut out their face and stick yours in it to see if it will look good.
