how do i put my pic files in random order in a folder so when i transfer to SD card they will play randomly in my digital photo frame?

Your digital photo frame should have a "random" playback option.

Just re-sorting the files in the folder does not mean that they will be copied in the same "view" order as they are displayed. Even if you were to rename the files in a random order, once you transferred it to the digital photo frame the photos would always be played in the same order -- unless the picture frame has the "randomize" function.

I am not sure placing the pics in random order is the answer. Every photo album would have an option to play the pics randomly. This would probably be a better option or maybe changing the file names could be another option.

It's not how they appear in the folder that determines how they are selected, it's the software product that selects the order randomly from a "play list".
