Do you mean you want to say "I want you to get me an engagement ring for Christmas?" Sure- why not.

An engagement ring is nice, but if you can't afford one, then just buy the wedding ring. Better than an engagement ring, why don't you ask him to set a date.

Don't ask for the ring for Christmas. It might be romantic, but not surprising if you know it's coming. In the long run, it's so much better to be surprised.

What if he is planning asking you at Christmas. If you ask for one, it will ruin his surprise. He'll get upset and you'll etither get into a fight or have a very unmemorable engagement story. Imagine telling that story to your kids.

baby girl, don't ask for the ring. it's just tacky. just ask when should we get married. let the wheel rolling from there.
