They believe there is a god. Small children fear the "monsters under their bed" when the monsters don't exist. Just because they fear something that doesn't exist doesn't mean the fear isn't real.

Well, first of all, there IS a God. But, Christians shouldn't fear Him. I'm in awe of Him. I worship Him. But I don't fear Him, because I've been saved, and know He is there whenever I need Him. I know that I will see Him after I die, and that I will have life eternal with Him.
Christians who fear God need to do some research.

No. What is pathetic is how people can continue to bash other peoples faith instead of simply ignoring it if it really bothers you. If someone has differing opinions on child-rearing or politics or the best method of cooking a tough piece of beef, would you be so insulting or simply listen to what they have to say and either try it or ignore it? Why can it not be so for religion?

How do you know there is no God? No one knows for sure. Those who believe in him believe on faith. As this one Agnostic on here said, "Agnosticism: the only logical alternative; Atheism: the lazy alternative." You're not even searching for God. That's quite pathetic.

I think it's funny considering the fact that if the person they feared is God, they don't fear God considering s/he isn't a person.

I think it is pathetic that you to blattered your mouth on Y!A saying that god does not exist when you can't prove either way. I supposed if people can prove that god does or does not exist then we would not have this conversation.

You are pathetic coz even you are not sure if there is a God or not. Thats why you are nosy and caring other people's beliefs. Live your life and let people believe what they wanna believe.

Nope, sure isn't. Regardless of whether or not a God really exists (which I believe does) it exists in the mind of a person who believes in one. Thus this figure which exists in their mind can help them to live a better life, can give them faith in things, and can help them to see the world from a different viewpoint than another person. That's what makes life interesting...all the differences.

And God is not a person. Just do not insist what you don't believe to a believer. That will be much wiser than trying to show you are more intelligent than they are. Let them be what they are and they will let you be with what you do not believe in.

Not as pathetic as thinking there's nothing to fear but man... or worse, thinking there's nothing to fear at all.
