You are right. He also commanded his followers: "And Jesus approached and spoke to them, saying: “All authority has been given me in heaven and on the earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded YOU. And, look! I am with YOU all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.” (Matthew 28:18-20)
Jesus also said: " And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come." (Matthew 24:14)
Jehovah's Witnesses are the only ones that I know of that not only preach this good news of the kingdom from door to door, and house to house, but also from town to town, and country to country. 235 countries so far. We teach people everywhere that are willing to learn the Word of God. We teach them about the kingdom and what it is and how to enter it.
I am so distracted because of your ID.. (sol crying inside) What makes you so sad? I am so sorry, I wish that there was something I could do to help you not be so sad!

Mark 16: 15, 16--- Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature, He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved, He that believeth not shall be damned.
In the world today there are enough of our own neighbors who do not know the gospel, you do not have to go to some foreign land to evangelize. The Gospel has been available to every creature (created one) Acts 17:30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at but now commandeth all men everywhere to repent.
Matthew 28: 19,20 Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost; Teaching them to observe all things which I have commanded you, and lo I am with thee alway, even unto the end of the world.
Yes , We are commanded Not to forsake the assembling of ourselves together on the first day of every week: Hebrews 10:25
John 4:24; Ephesians 5:19; 1 Corinthians 11:23-29; 1 Corinthians 16:1,2; Acts 2:42; Acts 20:7; These verse tell us HOW GOD IS TO BE WORSHIPPED.

Well....in the Revelation of Jesus Christ, He certainly took some serious interest in at least seven of them:
(1) Ephesus (Revelation 2:1-7) - the church that had forsaken its first love (2:4).
(2) Smyrna (Revelation 2:8-11) - the church that would suffer persecution (2:10).
(3) Pergamum (Revelation 2:12-17) - the church that needed to repent (2:16).
(4) Thyatira (Revelation 2:18-29) - the church who had a false prophetess (2:20).
(5) Sardis (Revelation 3:1-6) - the church that had fallen asleep (3:2).
(6) Philadelphia (Revelation 3:7-13) - the church that had endured patiently (3:10).
(7) Laodicea (Revelation 3:14-22) - the church with the lukewarm faith (3:16).

Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. Hebrews 10:25
(yes, God tells us to go to church, to meet in groups to
encourage each other)

Ekklesia is the Greek word that has been translated in the Bible as "church," 108 times! Every time you read the New Testament Scripture concerning the ekklesia, your mind tells you that you are reading about the "church." This is the root of the greatest deception perpetrated on the body of Christ. Ekklesia means "the called-out ones." Ekklesia does not mean, "church."
The ekklesia are those persons that Jesus has called-out to Himself. When Jesus began His public ministry He went through Judea and called-out a group of men that became His disciples. Jesus did not begin His ministry in the temple or within the denominations of the priesthood. Jesus began His work outside the temple format and the religious practices of His day by building up men upon "a rock" of revelation: "Thou are the Christ, the son of the living God." Upon this rock, that’s right, I will build My ekklesia, not My church! Jesus set out to build people up and into Himself, upon the rock of revelation—He is the Christ!
The word Church "ekklesia" is used in two senses: the visible and the invisible church. The visible church consists of all the people that claim to be Christians and go to church. The invisible church is the actual body of Christians; those who are truly saved.
The true church of God is not an organization on earth consisting of people and buildings, but is really a supernatural entity comprised of those who are saved by Jesus. It spans the entire time of man's existence on earth as well as all people who are called into it. We become members of the church (body of Christ) by faith (Acts 2:41). We are edified by the Word (Eph. 4:15-16), disciplined by God (Matt. 18:15-17), unified in Christ (Gal. 3:28), and sanctified by the Spirit (Eph. 5:26-27).

Jesus said,"wherever two or more of you are gathered together in My name, there I am in the midst of them." This is the Church. The church is not a building or a religion. When Jesus is with us we can be sure we are the Church. We are the church when we walk as He walked and live as He lived. That is to live in community and share all things in common. The believers need to be restored to an Acts church.
Everyone goes around calling days of fasting and repentence but I don't think many christians know what to repent about. The FIRE has gone out. That is what to repent about. We "have a form of godliness but deny the power." At least wiccans aren't afraid of spiritual power. Whenever God comes and annoints the church with a new anointing the fire lasts for awhile and then goes out because the clergy want to control the power of the Holy Spirit and they can't. The Holy Spirit will not be controlled. He gives gifts to men and we are responsible for our gift. Our gift is to minister to one another and to win the lost. We are to do the things Jesus did and love one another. We are to give 100 % not 10 % . The first sin in the new church in Acts was when Annanias and Saphira refused to give all they had but wanted to keep a 'little for themselves.' That is where greed and pride is. That is why we can't live together in peace. Because some people want to have more that others and think they are entitled to it as if it didn't all belong to God. Jesus said He came not to end the law but to complete it. We don't get it. He meant we don't need to give a tenth to the priesthood anymore. We are the priesthood, the royal priesthood. We don't have to go from religion to religion seeking significance. Our gifting gives us significance. And the greatest gift of all is love. We are to share all we have and all we are and there are to be know poor amongst us. The fact of poverty among Christians tells us right there that we need to repent. We need to stop asking the poor among us to give us 10% of the little they have and start sharing with them what we've got. We need to stop cheating the worker out of a decent income so that we can live in wealth. This is not prosperity as some preachers preach, it is theivery.
I am praying for the restoration of the fellowship of believers. I believe God will restore His church in the end times.
I for one am trying to live as close as I can to the original pattern and to find others to fellowship in this.

Church is like a meal for your soul... It has the sacrament of the eucharist...we gather to receive Him...where we are actually one. The gospel is the food of the soul. and the offertory? its for the parrish. it still needs to pay taxes and give the neccesities for the priest. cuz "servants of God should be given what they need" cuz Jesus sent his apostles out with nothing but the clothes on their back and their sandals.

No, we are instructed to NOT forsake assembling. As far as money goes, even in the time of Abraham, people made offerings and paid tithes.

He told something like that to his Disciples. Big difference between being a disciple and being saved. I never claimed to be a disciple, but I have told quite a few the gospel.
No, He never told me to go to church. But He didnt tell a drunk to go to a bar. People like being around similar people I guess.
"Sometimes you wanna go where everybody knows your name,
And they're always glad you came,
You wanna be where you can see,
The troubles are all the same,
You wanna be where everybody knows your name!"
