The crime statistics there, as well as Washington DC, show that there's a greater murder rate than Baghdad.
You can't argue with that.
The reason?
There are two reasons;
1. when you import the lowest class of people from third world countries (Mexico, central American countries), then those areas take on the same characteristics as the countries they came from.

2. The reason for #1, is that our generous social services of FREE health care & wefare for all immigrants, legal and illegal, is a magnate for low-income people everywhere.
Crime is a bad paying job, therefore any population of low-wage earners has a higher than average # of criminals there.

Have you ever actually walked the streets of Miami??? Most of the people there from "Third World" countries are from Cuba and Haiti, excuse me very much but they would be considered legal residents, protected by the law, at least the Cubans. I have walked the streets of Miami, how dangerous is it really, I never once got robbed or ever had to fear walking down the street and getting shot. I wouldn't agree with you.

to some degree i agree it's pretty bad in many areas there, not everywhere..... but many
