You have very intelligent parents. Listen to them closely and learn something that is true instead of a bunch of mythological mumbo jumbo. When you are older and more educated you will have plenty of time to decide for yourself whether you want to be a Christian or not.

1. Don't know the music; doubt it anyway
2. As above; but if you really work at it you'll find something approximating hell in this life and you'd be surprised at where the slippage beings...mine was alcohol and loud music, my two worst mistakes (I'm a Pioneer now - tea-total and enjoy music but don't frwk out to it too much, partially cause I'm 43 and my back is knackered anyway)....'Regrets I've had a few......'
3. When a sunflower turns towards the sun for the first time it sees that it is a sunflower but it was always looking for the sun and the same is true of the human heart and love. If we are born to do anything it is to grown in love - emotional, spiritual that is. So welcome to the Faith journey Sister. In the name of John the Baptist I claim you into the Faith of Jesus Christ; may the graces of heaven be open and made freely availabe to you.
4. So many but what about John the Baptists 'I must decrease; he must increase' (John 3:30. It really should be made into a Christian mantra 'I must decrease so that he may increase', because we really do have to shrink our own worldly responses in order to allow Christian response grown within us...The Beatitudes (Sermon on the Mount, Matthew 5.)
Just read the Gospels, Acts and Letters and start going to Sunday Mass . If you have a Chaplin at your school raise the matter there first.

I'm 14 as well.
This isnt exactly the kind of answer you were probably looking for....
1) Only God will decide if you go to Hell. Yes, people may say you will go to hell for something, but only God knows if you will.
2) Once again, God's decision.
3) Very good question. In my opinion, I would call myself a Christian if I were you even though you haven't been baptized yet.
4) Favorite verses:

My favorite funny verse is 1 John 3:12. "Do not be suprised, brothers, that the world hates you" (ESV translation). I think it is a very funny verse when read out of context.

My favorite serious verse is Job 1:21 "And he said, "Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked I shall return. The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord." (ESV translation)

People are not going to hell because listening to some music, but because some kinds of music steer their soul away from God. For example, a good friend of mine from high school was so much into heavy metal that he committed suicide just before his graduation from med school. It's very weird because in high school he was very balanced and almost nerdy, and later he sort of got wild. He mentioned once to me something about a party with candles put in a human skull, which he stole from school. But when I mentioned to him anything about church, God or anything connected, he was sort of shouting back that I'm trying to convert him.

When you become a Christian with all your heart, and also grow a bit older, music will have less of an influence on you and you won't feel like listening to anything harmful.

You can pray for your favourite band players and for everyone you know.

You should also pray to God to help you get around these obstacles: get baptized, get parents on your side (this can take much longer). You are technically not a Christian until baptized, but you can be a Christian in your heart for a while. Until then, you can read the Bible, read spiritual books such as the Fathers of the Church (many posted on line), go to Christian forums...

My favourite verse: I really don't have any. From time to time one of them sort of jumps out to me, but over the time these have gotten so many that I really couldn't say. And perhaps it's not good to separate a favourite verse, as if the others are no good.

1) will i go to hell for liking my kinda music eg. my chemical romance, slipknot etc... ***Do you love GOd...????

2)will these bands go to hell *** DO they love God???

3)can you call yourself a christian if you haven't been christened or baptised becasue your parents won't let you because they don't believe in god even if you do
** you are saved by faith... but being baptized is for obedience... if your parents wont let you I could see respecting their wishes until you are older and living on your own and then gettign baptized*** I think Christians might sincerely answert this wither way..go by your concience

4)if you are a christian what's your faveourite bible verse and why? ** I think I have too many... I read the Bible from front to back... and find many things to be meaningful.. too hard to pick only one

1) I struggle with the same taste in music and though listening to these types of things WILL NOT send you to Hell, we do want to be careful what we fill our minds with because it will also begin to fill our hearts and start to show up in our actions as well.

2) Only God is the Judge of whether these people spend eternity with Him or apart from Him but it will not have anything to do with the kinds of music they made.

3) You DO NOT have to be baptized to go to Heaven (remember the thief on the cross was never baptized or even read any scripture or went to church but Jesus Himself told the man He would be with Him in Paradise)

4) I would have to say my favorite Bible verse is Jeremiah 29:11
" I know the plans that I have for you, declares the LORD. They are plans for peace and not disaster, plans to give you a future filled with hope"

Blessed Be and Happy Holidays

how I wish I could be your age again- but not without the knowledge I have now---- anyway.... No, I do not believe you will go to Hell for listening to odd music(never heard of em myself-oops, now you know old I am ). but the things we listen to or watch do have an effect on our subliminal minds- and can cause one to act out or badly-(if your told your ugly or bad all your life you tend to believe it.) so the words you are listening to may affect the way you act. and you can call yourself a christian if you want no man has to ordain your feelings towards God- but remember if you call yourself one and then act like the unchristian, you are a bad example. I use believer or practicing christian, because we all need the practice. I enjoy so many verses- but I have to say- " If you love Me you will keep My Fathers commandments". do you know all 10? do you keep them? you are young and some things cannot be learned on a computer- life will teach you many things- just don't go it alone- take Jesus with you everywhere!!!!

1) You will not go to Hell for listening to that... but I do believe if it influences your life in a negative way, causing you to do bad things or think bad thoughts, it will not help you.

2) I'm not sure if they will. Unless they do not believe in God and have a personal relationship with him, they will go to Hell. But I am not one to judge.

3) Whether or not you are a Christian is something you choose in your heart. Being baptized is a way to show the world you are a Christian. It is not needed, but it helps show the world how great our God is. Your parents or anyone else cannot control whether or not you believe in God in your heart or not.

4) I like the verse in Matthew 5 that says "Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted." It makes me happy that I can cry about things because God will comfort me.

1) No.
2) I don't know. That's up to God.
3) Yes.
4) I live my life by 1 Corinthians 10:13
No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will provide a way out so you can stand up under it.

I hope you had a better day!

1) of course not
2) look, its bad enough down there what with all the demons and pointy forks
3) of course you can. Google the word 'Baptists". But well done your parents, you obviously need more time to think about this. Like what's with the hell thing? If you read Dante, just where does he put metal bands?
4) 'Jesus wept'. Actually, I'm an atheist, but that's an actual verse, and its a corker .

The Bible was written hundreds of years ago but your parents are here for you now.

No, you won't even come close to going to hell for liking a certian kind of music.

The bands might go to hell, it depends on their realtionship with Christ.

The Bible says you don't have to be baptised, all you have to do is "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved."

Just because your parents don't think there is a God, doesn't mean theirs not.

I don't really have a favorite verse,

Hope you have a better day.
