,,,,,,,Many thanks for all your replies. the deskktop help was useless, the answers came from the other side of the world, and most times asked if they could close the question before they had given me the help I asked for, I have since deleted IE7 with ADD/REMOVE prog's, and now all is back to IE6 normal. Thank you all, have a good XMAS

Hmmm, well, I don't think IE7 is dependent on which broadband supplier you use. Perhaps you could contact BT and ask them directly. Otherwise, I'd suggest you go to the Microsoft IE site, make sure your computer meets all the requirements and your XP is updated, then download from there.

What they probably mean is that they don't have the information (standard support script) available to offer support for IE7 problems and they would prefer IE6 as they have a script to go through to give support for that.

IE7 should work the same no matter which BB company you are with.

One other problem could be any software your ISP installs (update services, online help etc) that uses IE may not work with IE7 till they update that.

I remember when I had BTB and tried to install their software it told that it couldn't as I did not have microsoft java, went to microsoft site and they don't support MS java any more.

Yahoo helpline are talking rubbish! BT Internet is compatible with IE7. I have this setup, and it works fine!

IE7 is very new and there are teething problems, but nothing major.

have you ever tried utilising IE to get entry to the internet particularly that the BT Yahoo browser? click on the IE icon on your computing gadget, it may hook up with the internet. If this works, ditch the BT Yahoo browser, it incredibly is the biggest piece of junk ever conceved, and use IE to get entry to the internet and email. or perhaps extra desirable obtain and use firefox; IE7 is basically a destructive replica of firefox.

No. They are having problems and blaming Microsoft. They should have patched any problems by now.

Try Firefox browser.
