...and we work out a lot together. I am uncomfortable changing around him in the locker room. How do I politely convince him to use the ladies room?

You are funny, I bet you know 50 Brokeback Mountain Jokes. Go on - count 'em. Why don't you just find another locker to change in front of? If there really isn't any room in your locker room, tell your friend that you feel wierd being naked next to him because ---???---fill in the blank with your own self-focused bullsht. You risk the possible outcome that he will be frustrated with your homophobia and reject you altogether, but if you are regularly feeling uncomfortable around him, then the friendship might be better off dead. On the other extreme, you both might get turned on and wander into the steam room.

He's still a man and not a lady even though he's gay.

You could just change in a stall, that would work. Or YOU could go in the lady's room. It wasn't his decision to be gay and he shouldn't have to do something different just because you aren't comfortable around him.

And if you're so afraid of gay people seeing you change, remember that people who you don't know can be gay too. So use a stall when you change.

Apparently you aren't totally uncomfortable around him if you work out together frequently. No polite way to tell him to use the "ladies" room, he is a man, even if he is gay. Move to a different area if he stands next to you as you change or whatever.

You say this man is your friend? So, how come you want to send him into the ladies room?? He's a man. And you know what? His being gay doesn't automatically mean he's interested in your @ss.

He is your friend?

You are not his friend, you suspect him of jumping you? He deserves a better friend, someone who trusts him.

He isn't a woman and he doesn't belong in the ladies room just because he's gay. If it bothers you so much, change in a stall.

that is a terrible question. have you got no sense at all? he is male, not female, and being gay does not mean he belongs to the ladies room!

You aren't really a friend to this gay person or you wouldn't even be writing something like this. It's an asinine question on your part.

who says this guy would even peek at you? Not to be mean - but-- ever heard the song -- you probably think this song is about you - i think carly simon sings it -- anyways just because he's gay doesn't mean he's interested in you -- so don't worry he's a guy he's seen it all before - after all you don't have anything he doesn't

Maybe you're secretly in love with his well toned six pack abs and that's why you wanna be away from him.
Be a man, come out of the closet, go blonde, call yourself Nancy and get in the ladie's room and please let me have a drink with your friend!
