The train is called 'The Maple Leaf'.

It goes from Buffalo:
75 Exchange Street
Buffalo, NY 14203

To Union Station, Toronto

can't answer your Opera question except Toronto has a new Opera House.

The train that leaves daily from Toronto to New York City passes through a suburb of Buffalo, Cheektowaga, it is about 20 miles from downtown Buffalo, but I would imagine the NFTA has a service to a point you could get were you want to go.

Check out Amtraks site and put in the New York to Toronto route, it breaks down all the stops on the trip, from New York City it is around 6 hours from Toronto it is 3 hours
