if you are just casually dating, then that sounds more like a friendship..i would go dutch, but when you do go out, suggest that you do go dutch..if he says no way!! then you know that he wants to pay for it all..some guys like to do that..but no, its not wrong for a girl to have the guy pay for lunch/dinner..

Although we are supposedly moving towards a less sexist society many women still like to hold on to certain sexism that works in their favor.
I think the girl should always offer to Dutch pay on the first date, and not judge the guy whether he accepts or declines the offer.
We either choose to live in an equal world or we hold on to sexist ideals of yesteryear.

What's casually dating? If you're not interested in relationship, then why date a person? Casually dating and paying your own way sounds like friends.

Go dutch. It's ok to accept an offer of payment, as long as you pay from time to time as well, but you shouldn't expect your date to pay.

absolutely not. A guy shows his willingness to be in the relationship buy paying for yours. It is aslo a good way to tell how serious he takes the relationship. If he buys Mac D's, he is a friend. If a casual restaurant, your relationship will endure. If really nice reataurant, wants to get into your pants.

it depends on who asked whom if the girl asked dutch is always the way if the gentleman asked than the date should be on his dime, if this is a long standing relationship than it should always be treated as dutch unless its a fancier date planned by the other party

Lol, well, the first two or so dates, he ought to pay, just for formality, but then make it up to him by treating him. When you ask him say it "Hey, how about this Thursday I treat you?" so it's clear. Don't make the decision once the meal's over, or he might insist on paying, or feel obligated to argue.

Generally whoever does the asking should do the paying. If you go out a lot and decide this together, you should each pay for your own.

No, not wrong...but be prepared to pay for yourself. If he offers to pick up the tab, that's fine. Perhaps you could offer to cover the tip, or offer to pay for the meal next time.
