Are there Therapada Buddhist holidays if so how to celebrate them?

Theravada...

Some celebrate Buddha's birthday in spring with parades and such. I personally don't, I don't think he would have wanted it that way...

Uposatha (Observance Day)
The four monthly holy days which continue to be observed in Theravada countries - the new moon, full moon, and quarter moon days. Known in Sri Lanka as Poya Day.
