its green because you dyed it that colour, or failing that, you bleached your hair blond then let chlorine contaminated water get to it, either via swimming or just the ordinary taps.

If you dyed your hair, chances are the dye had a green base color to it which would cause a shiny green tone in hair. If you have sensitive hair and swam in a chlorinated pool, that might do it to. Or maybe you just used Manic Panic or Special Effects green dye.
The best solution is use a neutralizer next time or find a color that doesn't use a green base. Often, a gold base or a blue base is easiest to work with any hair color and type.
Edit: If you look anything like your avatar, that would explain a lot as well :-P

I'm going to say you were light blond and then you tried to go brown. you see when you mix blond/yellow with brown you get green, just how hair works. so to avoid this you need to fill your color or hair with red. but now that your green, its safe to recolor brown again, going to a salon is worth the trip, plus you get your head washed...just enjoy it.

well if you tried to dye it then you probably did something wrong...
it happends often when you dye it blond or when you already are a blonde.
