Christians seem to think they are hated more on Yahoo answers, but I've read many Muslims say that they feel they are hated most on here. Which one do you think is?

Many come to this site with SINCERE and GOOD INTENTIONS to learn more about Religion as a whole, or their own particular Faith, or even someone else's creeds and religious beliefs.

But since this is an 'Open Forum' where one can easily mask their true identities, it has become a 'No-Holds Barred OPEN HUNTING SEASON' free-for-all scenario. There are obviously those among us here that are the dregs of society, the HATEMONGERS and MISCREANTS, who are predisposed in displaying their own IGNORANCE, their BIGOTRY, and a blatant DISRESPECT and INTOLERANCE to others who do not share their own perspectives [both religious and political], national origins, heritage, or even the colors of their skin.

Sad but true, this is a microcosm of the real world that we live in, one that our children are being exposed to on a day to day basis.

As intelligent human beings and mature adults that most of us claim to be, we should first admit and fess up that "What we got here is failure to communicate..."

Perhaps we owe it to ourselves to TRY AN EXPERIMENT, at least FOR THE NEXT 30 DAYS --or at least during the holidays season that we all have our own peculiar reasons to celebrate, or maybe not-- to simply lay down our arms, cease our verbal disputes and attacks, and CALL A TRUCE for a little respite and for some rest and relaxation...

Who knows? We may be able to extend this truce for a much longer period, if we ALL AGREE to such plausible SOLUTION for the sake of Goodwill to one another.

Peace be with you!

I think it is equal for both. I think the reason that people are so critical of Islam and Christianity is because both religions are so common and people know the most about those religions as compared to any others. People only take their own religion seriously because we are afraid of what we do not know.

I'm a Muslim and I love people of all religions. Whether they are Christian, Jewish, or even athiest. We are all human and no religion teaches to hate.

Both Christians and Muslims need to bury the ax and start LISTENING to each other instead of killing each other. After all, we both pray to the same God. Both religions stem from Judaism. Retaliation and vengence are not the answers. Forgiveness is the path to peace. Christians and Muslims -- and indeed people of all faiths need to understand and respect each other. I am Christian, but I have a copy of the Qur'an which I have read in order to understand the Muslim faith. I am on an international terrorist list for buying it. But I thought it was important enough to know what the Qur'an REALLY says instead of what everyone tells me it says. Extremists of both religions tend to take things out of context -- both fundamentalist Christians and fundamentalist Muslims.

I'd like to think that there is love for both Christians and Muslims and everyone else too. Hate is a total waste of time. We're all people trying to live happy lives. We have much more in common than we have differences. And for me, our differences are ok. It's not about being right, it's about living a life of dignity and treating others with the same dignity.

As a Christian, I believe the Muslims on this forum suffer more persecution.

Blessed Be

Neither. Every religion, nationality, sex, etc. feels that they are persecuted the most. When someone states that they feel they are hated the most they are usually feeling inadequate and have feelings of jealousy towards someone else. It's a never ending cycle.

I am a Christian and I don't feel hated here. Other peoples opinion of me and/or my values/opinions don't validate or invalidate how I feel. Once you are secure in where you stand on something, nothing someone else says to you can impact your self-worth/opinions.

Hatred is merely just a way for someone to release anger. I believe that no one actually hates someone or something. It is probably just what comes out of that person due to what happened that day.
