Does anyone know if this would get rid of a light tan birthmark?

No a birth mark is way to deep in the skin pigment. You most likely have to get it removed by laser.

I have heard too many stories of it making your skin condition worse. It did my friends... now she look like a person that is constantly peeling from a sun burn.
