3. I don't use the word "sin" but, yes, I think people do bad things.
4. I try to forgive. I'm not perfect at it.
5. Only proof would make me believe in god.

As an agnostic, I believe when we die we go to a better place, even call it Heaven, though that is the predominantly Christian take on it and I'm no Christian. I think we have a soul or spirit that becomes energy amongst the world.I am quite a pessimist and don't hope in or for anything, which makes it easier if something good comes along or backs up my thinking if something bad happens. I do believe people sin, have met many who have lied to me or hurt me and have found it hard to forgive, but I still believe there are some basically good people out there, and even if I do forgive, it doesn't necessarily mean I forget. Agnostics believe in a supreme being you know, but don't attribute one God to one religion, rather believing in facets of each religion.

Agnostic Buddhist...
What do you think happens when you die?
I think that reincarnation is most likely...
what do you have hope in?
“I think by now I have made it fairly clear that I am not very happy with the word "hope." I don't believe in people just hoping. We work for what we want. I always say that one has no right to hope without endeavor, so we work to try and bring about the situation that is necessary for the country, and we are confident that we will get to the negotiation table at one time or another. This is the way all such situations pan out— even with the most truculent dictator.
- Aung San Suu Kyi -
I hope and strive for a better future for all of humanity. Hope without effort is wasted time...
Do you think people sin?
I believe that we become attached to things, and that this causes suffering...
Do you forgive easily?
No, I don't hold grudges to begin with. There is no need to forgive if you do not expect perfection...
What would make you believe in God?
Show me god...

That's a lot of questions!
1. When I die, I will be dead. My body will decompose. I hope people will be a little sad, but remember how funny I was and how much I loved life.
2. I have hope in my children growing up healthy and happy; good caring people who make the right choices. I have hope that people will use forums like this and the internet community as a whole to grow in understanding and appreciation of each other.
3. I don't believe in sin because it is defined as a transgression against god and I do not believe there is a god.
4. I forgive very easily. We are humans; we act impulsively and not one of us can claim to have done the right thing, every time, under every circumstance. Holding a grudge hurts you more than the person with whom you are angry.
5. Nothing less than seeing a supreme being face to face would suffice to make me believe.

How many questions in that? Lets do a short for them first and expand later.
1) Nothing
2) This life is a good one, and just maybe i could come back in some form and do it again
3) People sin according to their own beleifs but aren't punished in an afterlife
4) How easily? Depends on how I'm wronged but i don't think i hold a grudge that bad
5) Nothing but irreversible scientific proof, which is impossible.
It is of my belief that nothing happens when you die, and a hope for anything more goes against science's failure to detect anything. If i was permitted one, on the grounds that some thigns havn't been discovered by science yet it would be reincarnation or karmic/random re-birth. That your energy gets re-distributed into one or more other creatures as they're born the way your cells get distributed into the ground or air and around the world. It's simple enough and not religious whcih I kinda liek but it still requires a beleif in a meta-physical system not yet proven by science.

Nothing, you just die like an animal dies. That's it
I don't have hope in anything except very short term goals.
There can be no sin with no higher power.
Yes I forgive VERY easily. Although when lied to many times, I cut that person off completely. No anger or yellling, just cut them off.
I honestly don't think anything would, any parlor trick would just make me more skeptical. If you mean what would make me believe in the xian god as currently conceived, I guess I'd need to see prayer actually work for many people for a long time. People missing limbs would regrow them, spinal injuries and retardation would heal from prayer. Things of that nature.

I believe that most souls cross over. I have hope in myself. People do wrong, of course, but they do not go to any imaginary place called hell. I do not forgive easily, it is my personality. I happen to believe in God. I do not like religion. Any religion that claims to be the only way to God is a lie.

1. The blunt, cold, clinical version of this is nothing. We die, turn to dust, no afterlife, no heaven or hell, nothing. Oblivion.
But if that's too scary for you, try this. We die and exist as spiritual energy. We can choose to remain as a spirit and wander the universe, or we can choose to be reborn again, particularly if we regret something we did or didn't do in life. Unfortunately, doing so will have us born with no memory of our previous lives, such is the frailty of the human memory.
2. What do I have hope in? Either you mean what do I have faith in, or what do I hope for.
I believe in love, happiness, family, peace, unity, freedom, and these are only starters as I could go on for a long time. I hope that humanity doesn't destroy itself over silly things(like our many differences). I hope that people can learn to get over themselves and live in harmony with each other. I hope that people can find it in their hearts to truly forgive and accept one another and work together to make this world better for all of us.
3. I don't believe in "sin" as defined religiously. People are generally good, but make mistakes. Some are little mistakes, some are huge. There are some truly evil and hideous people out there who do unbelievably cruel things deliberately and without remorse. Most, thankfully, do not. Most people will generally try to help each other.
We are not born "sinful", we are born HUMAN. We make mistakes and learn from them, not make mistakes and then burn forever for falling prey to human fallibility. Screwing up and committing crimes are universal human traits, not unique to one walk of life or another. I don't know a single culture or faith that doesn't have criminals and I don't know a single person who has never made a mistake in their life.
Anyone who says they are faultless and sinless is a liar in my book.
4. I forgive VERY easily if a person apologizes to me and means it. I know people are human and make mistakes, so if they realize this, realize that they've done wrong and apologize and mean it, I can forgive easily.
I don't tend to forgive people who don't apologize or apologize, but don't mean it. I've unfortunately known people who say they're "sorry" and won't do it again, but the next time I see them, that's exactly what they do. I've known people who were deliberately nasty, apologized quickly, then turned right around and did it again without remorse.
People who are honest and decent and apologize sincerely, I forgive. People who don't apologize or don't mean it, I end up holding a grudge against until they do.
5: What would make me believe? Nothing. I've read the Bible, went to church every Sunday for 20 years, tried forcing myself to believe, nothing worked. There's nothing believers can do to change my mind. I'm the only one who can change my mind and if I do so, it's for my own reasons, not because somebody waved a Bible in my face and told me I was going to Hell if I didn't repent.

I believe a lot of us could be considered spiritual, just not religious. I, for one, believe that there is a higher power and and afterlife, but both of them are meant to be beyond our human comprehension. I don't have a problem with the concept of religion, just the ways in which it is interpreted and taught. If everyone, regardless of faith, would try to uphold the true message of compassion and humility that the man, Jesus lived, instead of the ways that message has been warped and corrupted in the pursuit of an agenda, this world would be a better place.

When I die what remains of my individuality will spiritually fall back into an ocean of power like a raindrop. It will still be there, but not as a recognizable distinct individual. Lovely, isn’t it?
I think people can sin, not against a religious law, but against nature.
I think e.g. pollution is a sin. The destruction of habitat is a severe sin against animals, etc.
No, I don’t forgive easily.
If God manifested itself and ended wars, misery and man’s idiocy, I might consider rethinking my absolute security of its non-existence.
