Mostly hydrocephalus are casued by congenital(in born) malfo-rmation of CSF(cerebrospinal fluid) drainage.Since it is congenital, there is no definite cure.
But there are some surgical procedures that can relieve it and subsequently reducing the compression effects like putting a shunt called ventriculo-peritoneal shunt(VP shunt).

No there is no cure, but a shunt can be placed in the skull that runs down the neck which allows the fluid that builds up around the brain to drain. This relieves the pressure that causes brain damage in someone who has hydrocephalus. Hope this helps

in this case a cure depends entirely on the precipatating cause. There is more than one cause for hydrocephalus, some treatable, some not so treatable.
