I know everyone says anorexia/bulimia are dangerious and not healthy. I used to always think that, but iv seen a few pro anorexia/bulimia websites now and I'm confused. Those sites made it seem like a good way to lost weight (which i need) but most people think its bad and will kill you. Are anorexia/bulimia really dangerous or do adults exaggerate the deangerousness of them?

Yes eating disorters are very dangerous. If you have anorexia, you could not be paying attention, you could loose hair, not get enough nutrients, and, if you are anorexic for a long enough time, you may look TOO skinny. Is it really good to be able to see all of the bones in your body and weigh 60 pounds when your pushing 40? Bolemia has serious consequences also. Although it seems good, you're probaly thinking," hey, I'm still getting the nutrients, aren't I?". Well, if you throw up your food then eventually you will wear away the interior of your throat and stomach. Eventually you may also cause internal bleeding. Some other side affects to eating disorters are heart mumers, decreased heart rate or even death. So, if you want to lose weight, may I suggest working out about an hour for about five days a week, or maybe eating healthier? But if you do decide on a diet, don't start doing one of those diets when you either don't eat or just eat only one thing. It is important to get enough of each food group every day.

I have spent the last 12 years battling Anorexia which then led to issues with Bulimia when I did eat and it is DEADLY. I almost died twice and two girls I was in the hospital with, one who had Anorexia and one who had Bulimia both died. It can not only kill you physically but it takes your life from you. You stop living the ONLY thing you live for is to lose weight. The depression and the isolation that comes with it are awful. It is not just about losing weight. I would do ANYTHING to be free and I know it will probally kill me oneday too, but it does not go away. Both diseases destroy your heart, brain and entire body. Bulimia rots your teeth and esphagus from the stomach acid. You may start the diet that you think you control and then oneday it owns you. Eating Disorders are mental disorders its a deadly obsession that you just do not walk away from. I have lost alot from it, two best friends, my life, my happiness, my health and myself. Trust me there is no exaggeraton, the adults the doctors are telling the TRUTH. The "pro" sites are people who suffer from a mental illness they can not see the truth or they chose to ignore it. Please make the logical decision. I wish I could be free.

Don't believe what read on the Internet. Anorexia/bulimia is a very dangerous illness. It's actually worse than adults say. It can cause death among things. If you need help maintaining your weight, talk to a doctor!

Let's see now ... anorexia: you can literally starve yourself to death. Bulimia: you pig out, then you force the food out of your body before digestion. Can you logically see anything healthy in these scenarios? Please DO NOT visit those web sites, they are truly dangerous if they claim that the two abnormalities are good for you.

If you are overweight, there are alternatives. East sensibly and WALK.

Here's a hint that I discovered accidentally which made me lose 10 lbs. Have your supper really early; (the earlier the better) Then have an apple for dessert and nothing else after that except water.

Please remain in good health.

Ana/Mia is an effective way to lose weight but it is seriously unhealthy: hair loss, brittle bones, blackouts, dizziness, tiredness, irritability, naguno (hair that grows all over the body, including the face), dirrhea, the list can go on....
Also Ana/Mia is more than a weight lost plan--its is a mental as well as phyiscal disorder--the fear of putting any calories into the body is overwhelming, the analysis of every single bite you take, etc.
If you want to lose weight, do it the right way--you'll be happier and your body will thank you

Anorexia is strictly starving yourself and Bullimia is eating and then vomitting what you've comsumed. Both are NOT healthy and WILL cause serious damage to your body, even death. If you want to lose weight, you should eat healthier (that means NO MORE JUNK FOOD) and exercise daily. This is your health we're talking about here. I'm not exaggerating... I know girls who have been through annorexia and most of them nearly died because they did not have food in their systems. You need food to power up your body. Without good food and exercise... you're only killing your body little by little.

It really is that bad. It might look like a healthy way but it's not. It takes a toll on you organs and they need a layer of fat to protect them. Just eat right and exercise!! It has worked for me!! One trick i did is the three S's no snacks, sweets, or seconds. snacks or somewhat okay as long as their healthy and not chips, or candy!! But don't ruin your body by anorexia/bulimia it's seriously not good for you!!

Starvation of any kind; mental, spiritual, physical, and even in nourishment is harmful. Choose to believe in yourself, set a goal for each day and accomplish your healthy weight that way
