I parboil just because when frying, baking, or BBQ...it cooks faster and you don't notice any cooked blood on the bones...that grosses me out! Only parboil for about 10 - 15 minutes with any spices you want on medim heat. Enjoy not only the moist taste but prettier meat! *Also if you don't eat the skin it comes off much easier before frying, baking, BBQ.

NO do not par boil the chicken that will slightly affect the texture. Just make sure your frying grease is at 360F-365F. Make sure there is enough grease. Once chicken is done it will float to the top. Par boiling will affect the seasoning also. I have never par boiled chicken and then fried it never par boiled anything and fried it. You parboil vegetables before sauteing.

Most recipes for fried chicken don't call for parboiling. Many, however, do call for soaking chicken pieces in buttermilk for a few hours or brining the chicken pieces. Either one of these methods should make for a juicer finished product.

no! Its not necessary. You may want to cover the chicken after you turn them once. This will help cook them faster and keep the flavor in.

In my experience, yes. I like to par boil them in a spicy mixture like what you would marinate them in. I use onions, garlic, soy sauce, ginger, turmeric and vinegar.
