What is guys obsession with porn?

Whether it be movies, magazines any thing. I would like to hear from everyone but especialy the guys opinion.

Guys will get the one that they REALLY want. We admire others as they pass by. We'll even look up different models on the web or magazines. We imagine what it would be like driving others. We’ll go to “shows” to see many different models. We even sometimes miss the good times and bad of previous ones. We can even pay money to test drive others (eww). BUT…We will NEVER give up or replace the one that we have and love.

Better Q: Why are women so threatened by guys' interest in porn. Guys are visual. They're ALWAYS gonna be into watching beautiful women getting it on, etc. Don't sweat it. To us, they're just images, not real women we want to pursue. Think of it as a pressure-relief valve. We're GENETICALLY PROGRAMED to want to spread our seed far and wide (it's called the biological imperative, and gives males the best chance of furthering our genetic lineage, which is what drives the sex drive in the first place. Women are motivated by the same drive, but due to biology, have different, and actually more complex strategies that involved being more selective.) Men aren't actually THINKING these things - they're just the biological underpinnings to things like attraction to porn.

With porn (and the ma$turbaTiOn that goes w/ it), we're less driven to pursue REAL women outside of our real-life relationships. So next time you see a porn star or producer, thank them for reducing the risk that you'll be cheated on. :P

Well, here's an answer from a guy. Porn is simply fantasy. Fantasy of what a man wants sexually. And it varies widely. That is why you see so many goofy or unrealistic scenarios in porn. And modern porn is more unrealistic than the classic stuff in my opinion. But there are many many types of porn. There is couples porn, soft porn, fetish porn, etc. So it is hard to lump all porn together. And sometimes (but not definitley not usually), women like porn as much as men do.

The real question is, what is guys' obsession with jerking off? Porn is something to help with that. And they jerk off because they want that feeling. Not many things create more of a feeling than that.

You can't turn hormones off, you can only try to ignore them and wait for them to subside, or turn them on more. The second option, taking the erection farther, is more fun than waiting for it to go away.

I am not male but I am a clinical researcher. Both males and females respond to sight cues in order to initiate sexual arousal. However, males are far more given to direct graphic imagery. This is because like so many other male mammals, they literally look for the sexual organs of the females. They want to see them. Females, on the other hand, are much more adapted to subtle cues that are not so graphic. Among mammals, females sense sound, scent and color. They notice size and shape. They listen for reassuring sounds from their partners and without this reassurance they may refuse to mate at all. Sound familiar?
