BUY A KENNEL AND MAKE SURE IT IS BIG ENOUGH TO WHERE THE PUP CAN TURN AROUND IN IT WITH NO PROBLEMS, LINE IT WITH A OLD SHIRT OF YOURS. OR SOME PIECE OF CLOTHING OF YOURS. PUT A CHEW TOY IN THERE(ONE THAT WILL NOT GET DESTROYED EASILY) LIKE A PULL ROPE OR A TIRE. THAT WORKED FOR ME. THE CLOTHING LETS THEM SMELL YOUR SCENT, THE TOY IS FOR CHEWING, THE KENNEL IS FOR KEEPING CONTROL OF THEM.

Crate him and desensitize him to your leaving. Put him in a crate when you leave this way he can't destroy things or urinate all over the place. Desensitize him by leaving him for 15 minutes at a time at first, then returning. Do this several times. Then increase the time to 30 minutes. Do this several times. Then increase the time to 45 minutes. Do this several times. Keep gradually increasing the time until you leave him for about 4 hours at a time. Then you can try 5 hours beyond that someone should come in to walk the pup and play with it for a little bit while you are gone as it is too long for a puppy to be alone. A puppy can't tell when you leave that you are coming back but by gradually increasing the time he begins to realize that you aren't abandoning him.

Kennel him when you are gone so that there is no destruction. In his kennel put a blanket and some chew toys. Make sure the kennel is large enough for the dog to be comfortable.

Easy...Kennel training.

Dogs are "Den" animals and feel comfortable in a kennel when alone.

Read a book on the subject, I have great luck with this method, and all the trainers use it.

Maybe try crate training him so he has a safe warm den to go to when you are gone. Just make sure you have a big enough crate though.
