I have a number of friends that are very Christ-like, but I would never put their names here for others to ridicule and harass them.

No matter how we try we will all fall short of being like Christ. If I had to pick a person though, if would have been my grandmother. I never heard her say an unkind word about anyone. She lived for God first. She was devoted to taking care of her family. She was robbed once and when the woman was arrested, my grandmother didn't press charges. Instead she talked to the woman, gave her money and helped her. Everyone thought she was crazy but it turned out that Grandma was right. The woman turned her life around. That was a miracle.

I have a friend who used to work with refugees in Bosnia, then she came back and worked with criminals with addictions in prisons and now she helps teenage girls get their lives together after being on drugs/pregnant/on the streets. Plus she is really sweet and funny and a bit mischievous.
I think she is amazing and makes me feel like a cynical, money grabbing behatch!

There is nobody that remotely comes near to being Christ like, he was a one off. The next time such a figure is on earth is when he comes back as he promised, and he will be assured.

Mother Teresa of Calcutta was a shining example for the world of real Christianity in action.

my old mum, she has put up with a lot of crap in her life and managed to make something really beautiful of the garbage she had been given
My mum founded the 2nd food bank in Canada and remains a deeply spiritual person after seeing a world of hurt and pain...
She is in very poor health and still so caring about other people...

I have been very blessed to know many fine Christians. You would probably not know them. One is a monk, 2 are priest, others are just ordinary folks. They are loving, forgiving, kind, and giving. They have all been my mentors.
