Yes, EMPHATICALLY YES!! We are ONE people, on ONE planet, under ONE God. All the major world religions in their purest state, do NOT disagree. In order to achieve Untiy, religious leaders, and believers must at some point look at and accept that ALL religion, all spirituality came from the same source, that the same source sent different messengers to different times with messages that were appropriate for that time and the people who received it. The varying pantheons of 'gods and goddesses' are but ASPECTS of ONE exalted Divine that is indescribable and unknowable, except through these messengers. If you put Jesus, Buddha, Moses, Mohammed, Baha'ullah and Krishna into a room together, THEY would have no problems with one ANOTHER, they would seek a way to Unify their peoples.
No one sprirtuality or people, is wrong. The races upon the Earth are as flowers in a garden, should they all be exactly the same, what a monotonous and drab place, no garden, would it be.
When people stop clinging to their assumptions and fears about race-relations, when we ACTUALIZE the ideal that we all bleed the same blood and cry the same flavor of tears, then there will be an approach to Unity.

All races can get along , but different religions creates many problems. I do believe that under the messianic kingdom of Jesus Christ, it is possible for the whole earth to be united and at peace. This is promised in the Bible at Revelation 21, Psalm 37, and Isaiah 65. I forgot to include Daniel 2; 44

Look at family groups. How many people do you know that don't get along with a parent, child or sibling? And these are people that deep down have(had) love for one another. Race and religion are just visible barriers in society. But as in the family groups there is always hope and opportunity to come together, it just requires a catalyst and communication.

well we have a good example recently with the visit of the pope in turkey. Is this trip really aiming to get muslim and christian religion together?
Religion is a tool to emphasis the differences between ethnic groups. They will not live together peacefully as long as people are ready to die for them.

Islam provides many human rights for the individual. The following are some of these human rights that Islam protects. The life and property of all citizens in an Islamic state are considered sacred, whether a person is Muslim or not. Islam also protects honor. So, in Islam, insulting others or making fun of them is not allowed. The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said: Truly your blood, your property, and your honor are inviolable. Saheeh Al-Bukhari, #1739, and Mosnad Ahmad, #2037.
Racism is not allowed in Islam, for the Quran speaks of human equality in the following terms:
O mankind, We have created you from a male and a female and have made you into nations and tribes for you to know one another. Truly, the noblest of you with God is the most pious. Truly, God is All-Knowing, All-Aware. The Holy Qur'an, Chapter 49, Verse 13
Islam rejects certain individuals or nations being favored because of their wealth, power, or race. God created human beings as equals who are to be distinguished from each other only on the basis of their faith and piety. The Prophet Muhammad said: O people! Your God is one and your forefather (Adam) is one. An Arab is not better than a non-Arab and a non-Arab is not better than an Arab, and a red (i.e. white tinged with red) person is not better than a black person and a black person is not better than a red person, except in piety. Mosnad Ahmad, #22978
One of the major problems facing mankind today is racism. The developed world can send a man to the moon but cannot stop man from hating and fighting his fellow man. Ever since the days of the Prophet Muhammad , Islam has provided a vivid example of how racism can be ended. The annual pilgrimage (Hajj) to Makkah shows the real Islamic brotherhood of all races and nations, when about two million Muslims from all over the world come to Makkah to perform the pilgrimage.
Islam is a religion of justice. God has said:
Truly God commands you to give back trusts to those to whom they are due, and when you judge between people, to judge with justice.... The Holy Qur'an, Chapter 4, Verse 58
And He has said:
...And act justly. Truly, God loves those who are just. The Holy Qur'an, Chapter 49, Verse 9
We should even be just with those who we hate, as God has said:
...And let not the hatred of others make you avoid justice. Be just: that is nearer to piety.... The Holy Qur'an, Chapter 5, Verse 8
The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said: People, beware of injustice, for injustice shall be darkness on the Day of Judgment. Mosnad Ahmad, #5798, and Saheeh Al-Bukhari, #2447
And those who have not gotten their rights (i.e. what they have a just claim to) in this life will receive them on the Day of Judgment, as the Prophet said: On the Day of Judgment, rights will be given to those to whom they are due (and wrongs will be redressed)...Saheeh Muslim, #2582, and Mosnad Ahmad, #7163

Unfortunately, because of the arbitrarity involved with religion, none will. When one person believes in Jesus, another decides that Jesus isn't exactly right, so he gets into a different one that feels right. The views of one religion clash with another.
You'd think that if Jesus was so damn powerful that at least there wouldn't be any other religions to challenge him, and humans wouldn't have to be his pawns in war to fight in his name. And by the way, I'm Atheist, if you couldn't tell.

One would have to fundamentally change the major religions of the world for that to happen.
IE: Once religion is gone, we'll have a much better shot at world peace, though I couldn't tell you if we'd find something else to fight about or not. Up til now, no one's ever tried it.

Race and religion have nothing to do with the atrocities that people perpetrate on one another. That is all due to selfishness and greed.
