Regret.
It's better to regret the things you have done than the things you haven't done.

It is always best to confess your feelings over "suffering in silence." The only thing though is to be prepared that the other person could reject you. I still think that is better than wondering forever what could have been. It is hard to get up the strength and guts to confess, but it will free you from wondering and give you the truth. And if the person does reject you, you can move on. That way you aren't sitting there dwelling on one person that you can't have, you can move on and find someone new who does love you and want to be with you.

While some people are confident enough to openly express their true feelings to whom they have feelings for, others may lack self confidence. People lack self confidence because they yearn for acceptance and they're afraid of being rejected. They often get depressed because maybe they're intimidated by the person they have feelings for. They might feel like the person has high standards set for the type of people they like, which makes them hopeless in their attempt to say anything, so they say nothing. They keep their feelings to themselves and remain in the shadows until they either give up and eventually move on, or gain the strength and confidence to walk up to that person and say something.

people need to build up their confidence. no one is unattainable. I have had much success and much failure, but the successes are the ones I remember the best. I have NEVER regretted making a "move" for someone I have been attracted to. Better to have tried and failed than not tried at all. You may be surprised at how often you're successful.
Remember confidence is more attractive than ANYTHING else.

well its really hard for someone to admit to someone else that they have some kinds of feelings because rejection is very hard to take, and they feel like if that person likes them, then they will notice them automatically and on their own will, and approach them. i mean no one wants to be shot down. sometimes when people shoot other people down, they tend to tell everybody and instead of just feeling rejection they also feel embarassed ashame and worried about being laughed at by other peopl who weren't suppose to know

The fear of being rejected usually prevents people from telling others they may be interested in as more than friends their true feelings.

the fear of rejection is partly it, but also lack of confidence in one's self. As long as you are comfortable with yourself you are not afraid of what another would say. try to build up confidence in YOU before trying to have a relationship with someone else.

Well it depends on what kind of person it is, if they are nice they will take it good, if they arent they will just blow you off. But if you like a person you should just tell them how you feel and they will be good to you.

Sometimes its a matter of not wanting to ruin a friendship, otherwise its just being scared period. Thats never been one of my traits so it's all good, and I've never had to worry about it.
