So you are comparing 3+ billion people (men on the planet) to one guy who is upset over his thumb. That's a rather big jump, wouldn't you say?

Of course all men dont' behave like children...ALL men (or all women for that matter) don't behave the same way in any particular situation...

It's clear you are annoyed and venting...but be careful about lumping so many people into one group, when you're just annoyed at one.

So he's grumbling over a hurt thumb and your grumbling that he was grumbling.

The point is, everyone complains at one point or another. Doing so is childish, but doesn't make you a child. If you want my honest opinion, dumping him over it was more childish than him complaining about it.

Unless there are other reasons why he's a child, then you may be vindicated in dumping him. What exactly was wrong with his thumb? If he had a hangnail or something, then you're right, he's a pansy. But if he got it caught in a car door or something like that, you're lucky he didn't get tear stains all over your furniture with how much he should have been crying.

If you are in a relationship, then you take care of each other's needs whatever they may be. We all need to be mothered at times, it makes us feel protected. He probably stormed off because of other things in the relationship. The thumb was just the last straw.

Yes they are! 4 brother, a ton of guy friends, 15 male cousins and boyfriend have led me to this conclusion, and they are worse when there are more guys there to hang out with.

awww, he got hurt and you didn't pity him all night long? how mean. used to date a guy like that, kicked him to the curb, too. highly annoying isn't it. i always thought they were all like that, then i met my husband. even if something is badly wrong with him he won't tell me for days. and then i have to kick him all the way to the doctor. well he's a marine, semper fi! but even he get's whiny when he has a cold! guess we are simply the stronger sex!

Many of us are. Kids are heart. Takes guys longer to mature than women. Never fear, we're only about 5 years behind you.

The guys who are still kids are usually the fun ones!!

in answer to your question. Yes! ALL MEN ARE KIDS!
BUT, if you love your boyfriend enough, you will pretend that his thumb is the only thumb in the world that has ever got hurt. That way you nurse his ego and stop him from moaning about it!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like he was probably just looking for some sympathy and you had none to give. Oh well - I would suggest you look for a guy who doesn't want any.

Good Luck!!!
