usually they will give you 5 miles over the speed limit, but that is up to the officer. You will get a ticket for sure for going 55 in a 30

I am a part time cop and generally I pull 7+mph over and give them a ticket, and I only do 3 tickets a day and give everyone else a warning unless they are going 15 over then I have to give them a ticket.

It really depends on the county and who the officer is really. Some "watch out zones" are definelty school zones and construction zones. Generally, as a rule the leeway with most officers that I have spoken too is usually within 10-15 miles over the speed limit on the highway.

In the state of Florida, we (the police) are not allowed to issue a speeding ticket unless the driver is exceeding the speed limit by at least five miles per hour. This does not include school zones or construction zones.

going 75 in a 65 on the highway is a whole differnt situation than going 25 in a 15 MPH school zone- all of that has to be factored into the decison as to whether you get the ticket or not.

Depends on the cop or the photo radar settings. If the cop wants to be a jerk, 1 mile over and he could cite you. Mostly I think cops will let you go within 5 mph-- again, it depends. If you're going 30 in a 25, you may get it. If you're going 60 in a 55, not likely.

Depends upon the officer. Legally they are permitted to give you a ticket for going over the speed limit even if you only exceed it by one mph.

They can give you a ticket for going 1 over (a reason to pull you over) but I would say 5-9 over and you are safe.

Depends how generous the cop is feeling that day. He can pull you over if you are going anywhere over 30. That means 31 or 65.
