I teach a class of 2 yr olds and every Christmas the children make a gift for the parents. In the past we have dressed the up as angels and took their pic and framed it, and one year it was hand print reindeer ornaments. I would like to do something new and creative...but still looks like they made it. Any ideas???......

as a pre-school teacher and a parent I always thought parents liked the handprint art the best.
Cards with the kids toe prints are cute.....do them in green on red paper, then print "MISTLE-TOES" on the top!!
or do marble paintings.....red and green and yellow paint
put paper in a shallow box....drop teaspoons of paint on paper....
add marbles, let kids roll marbles around the paint......
after it dries cut it into a tree shape (or can be used as wrapping paper!)

A cute priceless idea is an angel...if you get a paper cup and flip it over so its an angels body...decorate it with glitter and sequins and markers then get a golden pipe clean (about 1 cm) and stick it on the bottom of the paper cup in the middle then with a sytrofoam ball stick that into the pipe cleaner and decorate it.....with golden pipe cleaners make two wings then attach them on the back of the papercup......also make a halo with the golden pipecleaner and attch it to the syrofoam ball...
I Remember Creating that in preschool..

Let the kids be creative when decorating.....use many differnet glitters and accesories to decorate...all things can be bought at walmart or even the dollar store!

Merry Christmas!

One of my toddler classes made paintings (you can guide the painting or not). Choose a sample from each child's work and put it in an inexpensive, matted frame or even just a mat.. The framed pictures look amazing and are suitable to hang on any wall with pride!

make a hand print angel. right hand print is one wing, left hand print is the other wing, try and make them parallel. Hand print in the middle for the body. make a circle for the head and a circle for the halo. Use markers for the face and write name of child and the year by angel. A picture of the child's face could be used instead of markers. Child could glue letters of name on angel.

Get these cool clips(Used for pinning clothes up along time ago) and get red and green fabrics. Cut the shape out as clothes and antlers. Then you have a reindeer.( Also, googlie eyes. And red nose[[optional]].)

Hope this helps!

One thing I did in the past was picture frames. I had the kids paint them and glue on those little foam shapes, and I put one of their school pictures inside it.
