Well, let's see....the thief on the cross was not able to be baptized or go to church. Jesus said He would be in heaven.
Baptism is not what saves you....it is how you can publicly show that you have decided to follow Jesus. Attending church does not save you but it can encourage you to be with people who believe like you do and have the same struggles that you do. I hope this helps. :)

I will only say what God says. He says one must be baptized to be in heaven. NOw,t he question, what if a person didnt know that yet, and are a new believer. that we leave to God. we cant judge one way or the other, and He knows best. BUt, Jesus gave forgivenss to the thief on the cross just becuase he asked, and I think that says a lot. If he had lived, he surely would have been baptized, but he was a new believer. But, if one doesnt study to know, or knows and doesnt obey, no they wont be in heaven. But, if one just hasnt been baptized yet, and has repented and accepted jesus as their saviour, then I would say yes. Attending church is something God wants us to do, He says to never stop fellowshipping with one another. But, going to church doesnt save us. many there dont even know God, Gods words not mine. Its not about church, tho if one finds a true Christ that preaches Jesus and truth only, then church is great. but, often there isnt one close by, and then we have our own church. Also, remember God says we are the church, we Christians. It is whats within us, our hearts that is the church. > But each Christian is studying and searching and goes at their own pace as they are able to understand, and noone can tell them that stuff. Only God mus tspeak to them. BUt, we know our God expects full obedience to be saved. We also says He winks at ignorance. But, not at ignorance from not studying and not caring. Its just something we havent learned yet.
So if one doesnt know about baptizm, yet that accept Jesus and obey all they know so far, I would just guess that they would go to Heaven. Thats our God, eager to forgive. Cause He loves us so much. But, noone can plead ignorance that isnt trying to learn. ppl will go to heaven and say but I just didnt know that. well , were they reading their Bible and praying and tryiing to kNow. If we dont know Gods word, how can we know what to do and not do. Great question.

I am LDS, I can tell you what we believe, assuming this person is just the way you said...

Section 76 of the Doctrine and Covenants specifically explains each kingdom (of "heaven) we believe in and who or what type of people will be there..you can read the whole section at LDS.org, I will try to "sum it up" for you though...each kingdom is compared in glory to the sun, moon, and stars (Celestial being the highest is compared to the sun)

Celestial - Highest Kingdom where God and Christ will dwell eternally, family units exist, love, peace, harmony, a chance for increase in all things, all the good stuff. Basically one must have done certain things in this life to attain this glory, such as: make and keep certain covenants and promises, endure to the end, led as Christ-like life as possible, entered in to the new & everlasting covenant of marriage...

Terrestrial - No family unit, no chance for progression. Basically you will just exist. These are people who were faithful, but did not receive the full gospel in this life, but did in the next. Also people who did receive the gospel, but did not make all the necessary covenants and promises to attain Celestial glory.

Telestial - No family unit, chance for progression to Terrestrial glory...again, existing. These are people who never accepted the gospel in this life or the next, who never repented, basically had no religion at all....

Joseph Smith saw a vision of each kingdom. He said, "And thus we saw, in the heavenly vision, the glory of the telestial, which surpasses all understanding;"

Now, imagine how wonderful the Celestial Kingdom will be if even the lowest, the Telestial, surpassed all understanding!

If you believe in Jesus Christ and are saved it doesn't matter if you have been baptized or not your soul is sealed by God. When you attend church it gives you strengh and feeds your soul. Plus you can talk with more of Gods children and they can encourge you. Neither one is a restriction for going to heaven but they sure do help you in your christian walk of life.

Yes these are just formalities. But not the eternal heaven. Even the Christians are not going to eternal heaven unless they actually surrender to Christs teachings "Go and sin no more." One has to understand Karma and Reincarnation to understand Gods unlimited love and mercy. IT was in the Bible but King Constantine took it out. Read You mean that's in the Bible by Satyaraja dasa. Also the Christian Essense have the original Bible before Constantine took out the most important things. Also Vegetarianism. One has to be very sincere to come to these actual truths.

If you believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and believed that he died on the Cross and died for your sins that you commit everyday then God will have chosen you to go to heaven. Although I highly reccomend that you do go to a Church so you can grow in your faith if you dont you will still go to heaven if you have believe in the Lord as your Savior.

It doesn't matter at all what I believe. It matters what is truth. Unfortunately, there seems to be a lack of agreement on what this truth is so there must be some ambiguity.

If I were you I would be baptized and attend church just to be on the safe side. Who knows? Maybe all that time in church can make you a better person. It certainly increases your chances.

Disobedience to God is sin. Jesus commanded us to be baptized. If we don't do it it's sin! Jesus died to forgive us our sin... Can we, yes but this command is so simple to keep just do it! It doesn't have to be in a church. Any other person who believes can do it for you in any body of water. If you believe baptism is by sprinkling that's even easier... And not going to church.. NO WHERE are we commanded to go to church. I talk to Christians daily I don't forsake the assembly... Jim

It says in the bible that Nothing will pluck you from the hand of God. Once you accept Christ as your perosnal Lord and Savior, He writes your name down in the Lambs Book of Life and Nothing or No one can ever remove it. Going to chruch is something you do to grow in your repationship with the Lord and to fellowship with other christians. Being baptised is a public display of your faith. Seeing that God said "if you deny me before men, then I too will deny you before my father" I would think you would really want to be baptised. That way, you are showing that you are not ashamed of Christ.

People can only go to heaven through Jesus-Christ. You have to persevere until the end and it's very in a world like for even people who go to church regularly muchless for those who just stay home thinking they'll make it to heaven.
