I mean, what's the point of that? You bathe them before bed then they go to sleep, they wake up and get bathed again? I somehow don't see how a child gets dirty enough to be bathed again overnight while sleeping. Can someone enlighten me here?

At the night you bathe to clean them from the days dirt and germs. At night my son sweats alot and his hair gets very wet, thus, bath in the morning. Hope that makes sense but is needed.

I never could understand that either, unless they had some form of accident during the night. My kids take their baths at night, before bed. Then in the morning, I have them to wash their face (mainly just to wake them up) and brush their teeth. Now when they were babies, they got a quick bath in the morning just because of the urine smell from their diaper (if they didn't wake up in the middle of the night and it got changed). If the parents want their kids to take 2 baths a day, then it 's their business......it could be worse and they could be NOT making them bathe.

My children are 8 and 11 and they only bathe at night. If they don't bath on Friday night then they do on Sat morning. But through the week its bath before bed.

I bathe my daughter in the morning. I don't feel good unless I take a shower in the morning so why should my child take one at night? It's easy for me since I am a stay at home mom. I can understand why a working and/or single mom would do it at night. It's difficult trying to get yourself and small children bathed and out the door early.

I sure don't. Only when my son has an accident in his pull up, the #2 kind where he really does need a bath does he get one at night and in the morning. Other than that, it's hard enough fighting them to get them to bathe once a day! They pull stuff like, "I already took a bath!" "When?" "Yesterday!"

Well, my children only get bathed once a day and preferably at night. The only time they get two baths a day is during the summer, when the weather's hot and they're extra stinky. I would say that two baths a day is bit extreme unless there's an emergency or medical need.

I always thought about that too. When I was a little kid, my parents never did that-but friends' parents would do that and I would think, "They didn't go outside or something while they were sleeping."

I think some parents just want their kids to be extra clean. Although washing your hair every day makes it greasy. It may not do that to little kids, but when they're old enough to take a bath on their own they'll probably do that too and get greasy hair- not unless they grow out of that stage their parents put them in.

I've never known anybody who does this; however, it's not as though it's going to hurt the child. Very young children and infants may need a bath in the morning due to urination if there's been a leak in the diaper, leaky bottle, or similar occurrence. I'd say that it depends on the child and the family.

I've always wondered that myself. I certainly don't do it unless one of them has had a really bad diaper in the night. My kids sometimes get more than one bath during a day, but my kids are also little monsters and could find ways to get themselves dirty in a hospital operating room lol!

I agree. I've never seen the point in bathing your child in the morning unless they didn't have one the night before. I guess I'm not that traditional--I bathe my kids every night and that's it.
