Please reconsider getting a "toy" sized anything! Many of these dogs have been over bred and inter bred to get the small sizes. This makes them much more prone to health problems.

I own and breed Shih Tzus. The standard for this breed is 10 to 16 pounds. If you are interested in getting a quality dog with low potential to have health problems, check out the AKC or American Shih Tzu Club websites for reputable breeders in you r area.

Pekea poos are a mix breed not purebred so won't be able to be registered so check out the local shelters instead of lining the pockets of an irresponsible person who is delibrately breeding mixes. As for Shih Tzus look for a responsible breeder who breeds to the breed standard, does health testing (not just simple vet exams) and guarantees the health of their pups. Also make sure any puppy you get is registered with a legit registry ...AKC, UKC or the CKC (Canadian Kennel Club)..and not any of the scam registries like ACA, CKC (Continental Kennel Club, Canine Kennel Club), APR (American Pet Registry), World Wide... (Be advised Shih tzus, Pekeniese, Toy Poodles are a TOY breed so they only come in small size so therefore you don't need to add the word "toy" before the breed) Be ware of people who advertise puppies/dogs that have been bred to be smaller then the standard allows. These puppies/dogs are very often unhealthy. Also make sure not to buy from ANY breeder who sells their puppies before they have at least completed their 7th week of life. Make sure the breeder has dewormed them at 2, 4, 6 & 8 weeks of age and have had a vet exam and 1st vaccination(make sure the vaccination wasn't given pior to the end of the 7th week)

Don't know but I would go with the peekapoo. way too cute for words and not as scitterish as shih-tzu pups (although they are very cute also) Good luck
