why is it that when a woman wants to have sex frequently, she is considered a whore, but it's ok for guys to do it? I'm just curious, because i have a very high sex drive, and want to do it and think about it constantly, but i can't tell anyone around me because it's "wrong." But I hear guys talking about it and bragging about how many women they've had all the time. I don't think I'm a whore, and i don't respect myself any less just because i love to have sex. it's just a need i have, it has nothing to do with my character.

because when it comes to sex womens generally attitude towards sex is they want it to be romantic, caring, tenderness, and all that mushy stuff...so when they are the opposite of that guys think, "whoa this chick must be a whore"
let me give an example to better explain:
guys will have sex whenever where ever. if a girl ask, then pants are dropping
girls on the other hand won't. girls are horny too but if a guy just plain out and ask, he'll probably get slapped in the face (and don't pretend that you wouldn't do this too). it just seems like you girls want sex but also want romance and all the lovey dovey stuff too which is confusing for a guy

IF you just sleep with anyone, you will be considered a whore.
So why not get a bf who also has a high sex drive and stick with one guy awhile until the hormones cool down a bit?
It's just always been that way about guys can do it when ever.......well, it's time for us ladies to make a stand isn't it??

Im sorry to tell you this, but that's just the way it is until the stigma of how women should be and act about sex has changed. Yes, it isn't fair, but that doesn't change the way people think. Also, it isn't a need that you have, it's a want--a really big want. You won't die without it and certainly if the only man left on this earth was STD infected you really wouldn't "need" to have sex. Continue to keep it to yourself and don't put your business out there to your friends and family. You know who you are and what you're about--no need to prove that.

There's nothing wrong with it at all. If we were only supposed to have sex to procreate, we'd be like other animals and only get the urge at certain times.
It's okay for ANYone to do it, regardless of what others say...as long as they are being safe (protecting themselves and their partner) and make it known up front what the status of the relationship is (is this just sex for fun...is there potential for more of a relationship...is it a show of affection to a relationship partner, etc).
Some people have stronger sex drives than others...if you have available/willing partners that are kewl with the situation then enjoy...

Hi. Thank you for writing such an honest question. And I have good news for you...you are not alone. This is just a question of libido. We each have a different level of sexual drive. Mine is high too. I am not an addict, but I just think it is fun and feels great. I like my body and I enjoy using it. And I do that responsibly so I am very safe and happy. My advice: just use good judgment always and have a great time. There are so many ideas, and so little time. :)

It IS a double standard. No doubt about it.
The perception is that for guys, they are studs and women are sluts. Now, my suggestion would be to be very selective with who you sleep with. Then, if someone calls you a whore, then you can always point out that you hadn't slept with him and what does that make him?!
I would also be discreet with who you are with.

Double standard. I think it's wrong. I enjoy sex but only with the guy im with. My friends bro can be with a different girl each night and he's praised for it.

An ages old double standard... unfortunately. It especially comes into play when the person has multiple partners.
Just wait til you hit your thirties... your sex drive revs up even more!!!

It is okay for men to be more interested in sex than women, because that's how society has constructed them to be, it's the norm. I totally agree with you...women have needs too.
