I think it is necessary in urban areas where right now illegals swarm across in numbers so that even if border patrol are watching they can only catch a few out of the group.

Anyone coming legally is welcome at the gate. Who wants the kind of people who would avoid the gate and come over the fence illegally?

I like the idea on the one hand because it would, in fact, slow greatly the flood of illegals just walking across - seriously, I can drive a few hours down to the boarder and walk across any time I want - BUT it'd be expensive to build and maintain. I think that money can be more effectively spent going after the employers who make it a very tempting thing to come here. No jobs and free health care no reason to come and stay here illegally.

there should be a 20 foot cement wall with electrified spkies in top. the wall should be built back on american soil a bit so that they can but lines of mand mines in front of the wall. then on the american side of the wall id put 3 foot spikes for about 50 feet so that if they got past the land mines and the electrofied spkies on top, then they couldnt jump past the 50 feetof spikes. that is shat should happen, but im not in charge of any sort of border partol, and if i were then id definately do something on the lines of my wall that i just made up. and for those who think it is like the berlin wall need to pull the sticks from their bungholes and realize something. the berlin wall separated communist and non communist within the same city. this wall will separate two countries that, hey guess what? were separated before, what a f ucking concept.

I hate the fact that there has to be wall or fence. I just wish everyone would get along. My grandson looks very much like his grandfather on his mothers side and I worry about him every day with everyone spouting off all the hate as if everyone that looks Mexican is an illegal. I think it should be higher, stronger, and run all the way from the Gulf of Mexico to the Pacific, and include manned machine gun posts. A minefield should be built on the Mexican side.
