Aerobic exercise supplemented with weight training. Increased muscle mass will certainly help you look and feel better, while enhancing your performance of most any physical task and increasing your bodies daily calorie needs (which some find helps them to lose weight). Do not over look aerobic exercise though. . . you can easily burn 800+ calories per hour this way. If you want to combine the two you might consider circuit training with weights. Oh, I almost forgot, eat a fairly clean diet and shoot for about a 500-1000 calorie deficit per day (depending on your time frame and self discipline).

eat proper nutrition and excercise.

Get some nutrition books, don't go for the canned diet books they are out to sell "thier" method, not the whys and wherefores of what your body goes through and how it reacts to different kinds of foods.

Start with eat drink and be healthy the harvard medical school guide to healthy eating. your eating habits are most of the deal. abs are made in the kitchen not in the gym.

working out properly supplements it and can boost your metabolism. The more muscle you have, the more calories you burn.

Not eating slows down your metabolism and your body starts breaking down muscle. Your body goes into starvation mode.

When you excercise you should do cardio or cardio like excercises mixed with a routine that is designed to tone as opposed to build muscle. High intensity interval training is the best form of cardio. and either supersets or circuit training for lifting. Lifting actually burns more calories than cardio because you continue to burn calories over then next 48 hours.

stop focusing on weight though and get your body fat % taken. BMI is not always accurate (especially with peope who work out) and weight doesn't tell you what kind of weight it is (fat/muscle).

OK, You do +100 sit ups, push ups. and crunches every night. Don't do 100 of each but do 100 in whatever pattern you like. Go on a diet of only greens, and calcium. Run or walk 30Min's. every morning and night (Don't over do it!) and no dressing on the foods. O, and noodles are good too, just don't put sauce on them! Use light butter just a little, eat bread and some fruits for dessert. This is how I lost 10 pounds in 1 weeks! Stick to it! Also, drink water and slim milk and protean shakes! Good Luck!
