I was moving my bf´s laptop to see the screen better and the charger came out and the comp shut off. When i turned it back on, it seemed as if everything was in safe mode! (minimal colors, screen looks pale) I did the whole F8 thing and started windows normally, and now it looks the same. I need advice asap before my bf gets home and is mad at me. Another problem is that the comp is Spanish,(he uses it in spanish) so I barely understand anything apart from using what I remember from the English. version. HELP ASAP!!!

It has screen shots so it shouldnt matter what language it is in. Microsoft xp is universal so the layout should be the same even though its in spanish

Pressing f8 is what puts windows in to safemode, booting without pressing f8 should boot windows normally. safe mode normally has the words "safe mode" printed round the edges of the desktop and a normal boot wouldn't
It could be that the graphics settings have gone to the defaut settings, could try fixing that by right clicking on the desktop to bring up the display properties and increasing the resolution.
