Be careful with the suggestions of layering your hair!!!
If you hair is thin and you put layers in it you may end up with hair that looks even more thin. You could end up with holes and transparency. I would suggest light texturizing. See a good hair dresser, i guarantee they are not going to go crazy with layers!

When get you hair cut ask for long layers. When I went to get my hair cut someone recomended long layers for me. I tried it and it was great. I used to have straight, thin, boring hair but once I got long layers I loved it.

The more you have your hair cut, the quicker, thicker it will grow, this depends on your age,so do not leave it for too long a period of time between cuts.

SHORTER THE HAIR WHICH CREATES VOLUME, IF YOU HAVE SHORTER LAYERS WHICH GIVES THE ILLUSION OF MORE VOLUME.
TRY USING A LIFTING SPRAY, WHICH YOU USE WHEN YOUR HAIR IS WET BEFORE YOU BLOW DRY. ITS LIGHTER AND WONT WEIGHT YOUR HAIR DOWN LIKE GEL AND MOUSSE WILL. ALSO WHEN YOU BLOWDRY USE A ROUND BRUSH ONLY AT THE ROOTS WHEN UR BLOWDRYING TO CREATE LIFT. IM A HAIRDRESSER, THATS WHAT I DO

Lots and lots of layers. Also if you put mousse in your hair and then dry it, its will increase volume.
