another posters question actually got me to asking this.

I'm 16 yr. old male and I'm 5'4. My current weight is 145lbs. I want to bring my weight down to 130lbs.

I run for 16 min. on the treadmill everyday at 7.7
I use an eliptical (sorry if I spelled it wrong! lol) for 20-30 min. almost everyday at a rate of 14-16 calories per minute.
I do alot of ab exercises
When I get the chance I do other exercises like bicep curls, different pull downs, and chest press and other machines to turn man titties (haha) into pecks.
I finish off with pilates and then stretch
I dont do weights as much though because I'm usually concentrated on cardio

My diet is good. I dont drink or eat anything bad. If I have any "sweets" I get whatever is no sugar, low sugar, no cal., no fat, low fat, or made with Splenda
SO, thats basically I wanna finally get myself down from 145lbs to 130lbs by Christmas. Yeah, that's alot of work for me to do!
SO, can anyone give me anymore sugesstions for what to do? thanks!

You diet and exercise sounds pretty good, actually. Just watch your diet. Staying away from sweets isn't the only thing you should do. Portion control is an absolute! I suggest the quarters rule. 1/4 of my plate should be protein. 1/4 should be a starch/carb. and 2/4 (1/2) should be vegetables or fruits.

But remember having absolutely NO fat in your diet is not good for your body! With as many exercises as you are doing, you need to make sure you are fueling your body properly. A common mistake is that ppl overtrain and undereat. Balance and consistency are key!

Start lifting weights to create lean muscle mass or do more cardio. You should find out what your body fat percentage is and find a goal. Regardless of what you weigh your body fat tells the true story about where you are and where you need to go. However you are only 16 and your body is not finished developing, i would pay close attention to the labels of the food your eating. This might help you get where you want to go.
