i went to a website a while ago to look up the symptoms of a.d.d. and i realized that i have most of them. i KNOW something is wrong with me, b/c for years i have found it hard to focus and what people are saying sometimes, such as if someone is talking for a while, i tend to zone out and i can't help it. no one believes me when i tell them that i have a.d.d. esp. because i've never been diagnosed with it. can someone help me (maybe someone who specializes in disorders) please?? does it sound like it have it??

I am a person the works with ADD teens. As many of the other answers have said, you should see your doctor. Yet not being able to focus or "zoing out" can just be a matter of lack of interest. There are also different learning styles and if your auditory processing (listening) is not as strong as your visual or any of the other six, it may just be that. Meaning when you listen to something you may not be able to remember or even when your listening it's hard to concentrate. But when you see something or touch something it is easy for you to remember the event.

Also check out information about Indigo Children (doreen virtue has some great books out on the subject). While most conventional docters know the symptoms of ADD and can diagnosis you, there really isn't any 'cure' for ADD. The meds they put you on are unbearable and make you into a zombie.

Many people withouth the Hyperactivity portion of ADD don't fall into the typical diagnosis. We don't have the figiting that so many people associate with the disorder.

Here are some links for an Indigo Child:

Yes, you are probably suffering from A.D.D and you should go see a doctor. You'll have a long way to go before you start to get better. The bottom line is your suffering from improper serotonin levels that affect us, the doctor will prescribe meds to try and regulate it. If your lucky you won't be med resistant.Go and talk to a doctor this is just a guide.

I would go to a specialist!!
Sometimes it may be more than add.
you could have other disorders too.
I wouldn't get worried though.
I have add to and i am perfectly fine!
I just take natural vitamins !
I would try fish oil vitamins!
I got diagnosed by a doctor first though.
And had medication for 2 years.

You should go see a family doctor so they can tell you if you have the diagnose or not and if you do they'll prescribe you medicine to help control it.

Go to your doctor A.S.A.P. and explain your symptoms, your doctor will be the one with the best answer.

You have to sit still!

I am trying to diagnose you through my monitor, but your avatar keeps moving around and walking about the room.
