Well if u think about it logically...if u rub 2 sticks together u can get a spark to start a fire! So by hitting an object with a metal instrument( a conductor) u can definitely cause an electric spark. Just like static electricity shocks from shopping trolleys or aluminium framed doors.

this happens to me all the time and it is normal. WHat happens is that the metal on the golf club hits a small pebble in the ground that might not be noticeable. I would have to say that it pretty cool when this happens. The only thing that might be bad about this that there might be a few scraches on the bottom of the club at most.

The composition of some club heads causes a spark when they contact the ball or, more commonly, the ground underneath the ball. Very common with modern drivers.

Some of the newer clubs are made from Titanium, and they can spark when they hit sand and rocks. I will sometimes see sparks when I tee off on a sandy tee box with my titanium driver. It's a great confidence boost to see sparks fly from your practice swing!

Hello

With the new technology drivers it is quite common to create a spark at times. I would say its because they slide across the top of a pebble or something like that during the swing forward.

Its kind of odd but also kind of neat.

Happens more than you think. Balls that have small amounts of titanium in them can spark when contacted by metal clubs. I've seen in several times, mostly at night on a driving range but it happens during daylight as well.

It happens with titanium drivers, particularly when a ball has dirt on it.
